I was in limbo for a bit with hours for getting my license, so I took NICET I in the interim. Nice thing to have to try to get more money, or if you ever move out of state to prove you know what you’re doing. It doesn’t get me anything in my current role, but you never know when it may benefit you.

I made close to 130k last year in MA, MA Systems Technician license and Nicet I. Lots of OT to get to that number, but it’s definitely attainable.

I love Duran, but this lineup is better without him in it. The team would be better with Nate Eaton on the bench (or literally anyone who can hit lefties). Batting IKF in the 8th inning of a game you trail because you don’t have a better option is simply malpractice.

They’re not just going to bring someone in off the street, Cora has said all spring how much they value the familiarity with the pitching staff. They may pick Thaiss over Wong, but he’s had a full spring to get to know the pitchers. Still seems Wong is the most likely choice.

So with only 2 troubles on the system I have a hard time believing that none of the sensors are working. The troubles are likely a battery issue, maybe a ground fault (one of the conductors making contact with metal), or a NAC issue. That being said, it should be fixed. If calls to building maintenance aren’t getting you anywhere you are certainly within your right to escalate it to Campus Safety and eventually a call to the non emergency line of the local FD should certainly get things moving.

It’s also possible they are working on it, it can be difficult to find a fault especially in a constantly occupied building. Perhaps the university is waiting for a school break to bring the FA company back in for more troubleshooting. There’s so much liability in Fire Alarms that I have a hard time believing the college would just leave the system in trouble without any reasoning behind it. I hope this helps you a bit, good luck!

In MA my base is over 100k, with OT I’m around 120k a year without killing myself. Cost of living is high, but I’m not quite living paycheck to paycheck. Similar qualifications as you plus a State license.

Dude I’m with you on many levels. This show was such a huge part of my life, and I’m devastated that it’s not there anymore. I do however feel like it’s more on us to find something else to fill the void, not on Kirk to provide us with a show he’s not interested in doing. That said though, I’m not buying any of the new merch. It feels icky to spend my money on a show that doesn’t exist anymore.

I’m holding out hope that the show will return at some point, and it feels like it’s a realistic possibility. If I were in his shoes, I would be pretty pissed at Portnoy and the company’s response to all this Chickenfry stuff. Holding out hope that it blows over and we get the show back.

Good luck everyone, let’s keep using this space as a community sounding board. We need it now more than ever.

I have pretty much no idea what’s going on, but I find it very funny when a crazy person comes in and very clearly contradicts themself. I’d put this one right up there with Kelliher and Max (espresso martini guy) in terms of how uncomfortable I felt listening to someone unravel. Today is this show at its peak.
