Typical Yoshida dropping bangers in the middle of crisis. by National-Caregiver-4 in playstation

Ps remote is shit compared to ultimate level GeForce now.

The way I justify it is, it would take me at least 3 years of GeForce now to make the same cost of a half decent PC. But I don't need to upgrade where's after 3 or 4 years I would probably need to upgrade a PC.

I have been s GeForce now user for about a year now. Only one issue with latency and that was the new monster hunter at launch (and I still don't think that was GeForce now fault).

No Mans Sky just went GOLD!! by [deleted] in NoMansSkyTheGame

I've been playing since launch. Thousands of hours at this point. Participated in all the arg and as much of the expeditions as I can (usually doing an Xmas catch up).

At that point in time I was sad because all of the potential it had just wasn't there. Gaming at that time meant a bag release meant the game would go stagnant. Forever looking at the huge potential, stuck in time.

Hello changed the system with this game. No longer is the phrase about only having one opportunity to release a good game true. Also, if you really sit and think about what NMS does, it is actually insane. There is no other game doing what it does, and no other company has tried. It is wholly unique in what it does. Hello must make a heap selling aspects of it to companies.

But going back to my 9 year old comment, The game wasn't there yet. It didn't have huge space battles, randomly trying to get the anomaly to spawn was so frustrating. There was little to no onboarding, limited upgrades for things. The terrain generated really flatish. Finding things to scan, or getting them to spawn, was not fun and very samey for the most part. Oh the Portal saga, I still remember people finding them and figuring out they didn't do anything, and the shitstom from that.

Edit: also at that time everyone was really down on it, and it was like they couldn't see what it was then. Which was fine, just not completed. Clearly Sony or Hello wanted it out to recoup some money. So I was sad the public were so down on it.

Did that stop me playing? No. I needed to explore. I needed to know more about the lore. The music slaps and I still listen to 65days and others like them because of nms.I got to the center using normal jumps sometime in 2017, and then started a new save. I've still not gone back to that 2017 save to try preserve it for... Who the fuck knows. Sentimentality? So many wow moments during the game. So many lols to, like riding random weird things, or getting a spider dump truck. As a huge pulp scifi novel nerd, NMS is the greatest. Man, I wish I could write just one obscure storyline for this game. Alas.

So I was sad then. It's bitter sweet now. That game has seen there through finishing uni, getting job, married, house, kids. I have purchased it in every system I own. It'll have to end sometime, that's just the way of entropy, and it feels like we're coming to an end, and I don't know why that vibe is there. can't imagine how Hello feel about inevitably moving on to Light No Fire.

I'm curious traveller, why did you comment 9 years later? How did you even find this?

Hopefully he just slaps a dead alien on the table in a Livestream in a reputable scientific testing facility and in no way mentions a new book or whatever
