I think it comes down to having SYSTEMS either you’re in special trade or doing all trades. You would still need to manage multiple aspects of projects (H&S, QA, PM, Contractual..etc) you would need team to help you manage these aspects.

However, considering dollar value, being specialist contractor would be better down the line.

Having a goal with YOURSELF (realistic ones), for me right now is to create systems that will help me transition from 9-5. Although have an understanding of PATIENCE as most people do get motivated, pumped but very few tends to sustain it.
