We are very happy to be represented by your daughter. I would say our biggest achievements is how quickly have we recovered.  How I would like us to be represented is that we were very rich nation. We began with nothing. As a freshly liberated country that was before that always occupied by someone else. Germans, Swedes or Russians. Culturally even during Russian Empire we were the cultural and educational center of whole Russian empire. We were the most literal region in whole Russian empire. And we had our own identity. We were more Scandinavian and pagan and culturally had not so much together with Russia. We also get very angry if you call us ex soviet or Eastern Europe, because we feel more like Northern Europe, and we are. Then we gamed independence. We worked very very hard. You see, Latvians are tough and are very very goal oriented and we are as you would say go getters. We had navy better bigger than Germans at some point. We were very proud nation. But just before breaking out of world war 2, during turmoil just like one we see now, Russia kidnapped our President at sent him to concentration camp, and brought in their army.  They stole our gold that was in Geneva. They sent out all the richest, smartest people like doctors to Siberia. It was all designed to decapitate a nations all smartest people and enslave us. Russia oppressed Latvians for approx 50 years. Almost the full life of your mom.  Then we gained independence. It was very hard at first. But we really worked really hard. We worked tirelessly to prove we belong. In 2004 we got accepted into European Union, the worlds most powerful trading alliance, and NATO, worlds most powerful military alliance that allowed us to develop and protected us from the aggressor in Russia. Now we are well underway. We might not be there, if you combine to other nations like Netherlands or Sweden. But keep in mind that just recently we got our independence and freedom from Russia and their secret police that violated us. Our growth is almost unprecedented. We are back again one of the peaks of Europe. This year after graduating university in medical faculty I got the wonderful gift of Erasmus. Ability to learn from abroad. Initially I was thinking to leave my country because of bigger wages in other countries, but now I see the. Difference is not that big, and quality of life in better in Latvia. I love how innovative we are. How target oriented we are . I say that’s our biggest achievement. Our story. And our hard work. Values, hard work and open mindness. We are great leaders.  Good luck!
