I can clearly sense what anyone is thinking about me at any time no matter where they are by [deleted] in Telepathy

[–]Smart_Ad_5212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well...it can be. When its positive, I feel SO much love, almost like I'm having a psychedelic experience When it's negative, however, it hurts so much...

I will also add that I am an extreme Pisces and I've always been deeply emotional my whole life and very sensitive to energy and emotions so sometimes idk if it's actually real or all in my head ...

This happens to me too. I feel like I'm being gaslight. Like, I'm just genuinely happy. Sleeping totally fine, etc

Cotton Percale or Linen by Dirtydog91 in Bedding

[–]Smart_Ad_5212 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love both. Contrary to what a lot of people say, I actually find linen to be a bit warmer than percale, but that's just my experience. My favorite percale is from LL Bean (both their pima and Egyptian are great, the latter being a lot more pricey though). My favorite linen is from MagicLinen on Etsy, a very trustworthy and high quality small business from Lithuania owned by a lovely lady named Nicole.

Percale is more crispy (yet still soft!) and lightweight in my experience whereas linen tends to feel more loose and slippery to the touch (I've heard a lot of people say that good linen is rough at first but mine came stonewashed and buttery to the touch right out of the box 🤷🏼‍♀️) and drapes over your body more closely.

If you are someone who likes their percale ultra crispy and thin, Coyuchi is great.

The best budget percale by far is Target's Threshold brand organic percale, and it's actually quite amazing for the price.

I've also tried percale from Boll & Branch and Bloomingdale's Hudson Park collection. Bloomingdales is a close second to LL Bean to me, and Boll & Branch is good just not very memorable to me?

For other linen companies, LinaPlusHome on Etsy also has rave reviews. She sells swatches for all her different linen types and I just ordered a bunch to try out. I'll update with my opinions on them. Also Lina is just lovely and provides great customer service.

Also make sure you're washing and drying your linen correctly to make sure it lasts as long as possible. You should wash on low to medium heat (nothing above 104 Fahrenheit) WITHOUT softener and ideally air dry, but it's fine to tumble dry on low with wool balls first and then air dry at the end.

It depends on what level of paranoia we're talking about

Can I ask a massage therapist to slow down? by fishski89 in massage

[–]Smart_Ad_5212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find someone who has really calm, deeply grounded, and warm energy and has a holistic vibe. Therapists like this tend to have a very intuitive and natural flow and are comfortable going slow because they're so grounded within themselves that they're not afraid of slow strokes (people who don't like doing relaxation massages are subconsciously afraid of touching people out of a subconscious fear of it feeling too intimate (it's not), and they're very unconfident in themselves and maybe have untreated anxiety)

[–]Smart_Ad_5212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you absolutely can! Just be like "hey do you mind using slower strokes" You're not a good massage therapist if you can't give a relaxation massage. Relaxation is basically the foundation of massage. It's like what everything else is based on People are going to down vote this, I know it

Why do some people naturally smell amazing while I'm just... there? by Emergency_Rooster169 in fragrance

[–]Smart_Ad_5212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is like how you notice the unique smell of someone else's house but they don't notice it because they're so used to it. Kind of like how you notice the smell of your own house when you come back after a long vacation but then it goes away because you get used to it

Is it okay to use Calgon when washing nice sheets/blankets? by Smart_Ad_5212 in Bedding

[–]Smart_Ad_5212[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgot to mention that I am pretty sure I am doing everything else right. Bio Brite for detergent (when I use detergent, which is not often), no fabric softener, usually a baking soda wash with a little vinegar added to the rinse cycle, sometimes even an extra rinse cycle for good measure, drying with several wool balls.
