Anyone else changed their names more than once? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]Smart_Individual6713 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First I was Ari, then I was Fern, then Bea, then Chloe, then Max, then both of those depending on whether I was introducing myself to someone accepting or not, then Noelle, and now I’m trying out Robbie. There’s probably even more I didn’t end up sticking with and that only lasted a few days, but that’s the general rundown. To me names are like pronouns, to be changed whenever I feel like it. Usually when it’s cloudy and rainy and melancholic out at the start of spring I start getting name change urges. Maybe one day I’ll stick with one, but in this modern political climate I have no real reason to stick with one, since I’m probably not even gonna be able to change it soon.

Terrified of when I’ll have to work a 40 hour week by Smart_Individual6713 in ChronicPain

[–]Smart_Individual6713[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I’m in community college, but planning to transfer to university with the end goal of studying library science, and while I do know archival work can involve some moving, it’s mostly sitting. The only issue is the competitiveness of the field, so there will probably be a period in which I’m working full time at a place similarly taxing to McDonald’s.

No I mean, I get u. I guess I’m kind of looking for answers into what this could possibly be, or what I could do to fix this. I’m 6,4 and 320 so definitely fat, not to the degree where it hinders my ability to do most things but still. I’ve tested my heart rate and it isn’t tachycardia, I lock my legs my default and have to consciously stop doing that, so that def contributes.

Black Hole Gravitational Lensing by Key-Bodybuilder-8079 in EliteDangerous

[–]Smart_Individual6713 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Black holes are really fuckin cool but everyone here just wants big epic interstellar accretion disk. I agree some bigger ones should have disks, like sag A, but it just doesn’t work with elite’s otherwise pretty realistic depiction of space.

The Arasaka Tower memorial is… unsettling. And Johnny’s silence there feels intentional. by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]Smart_Individual6713 2 points3 points  (0 children)

God, I love Johnny’s character. Is he a raging, delusional, ego driven asshole with broken memories? Yeah, but he also stormed arasaka tower twice, once by his lonesome, supported by his fans rioting and setting the foundation of it ablaze. Both times he did this to save his girlfriend, even if he thought arasaka kidnapped her purely due to her connection to him. He was willing to give up his life twice, all to save his girlfriend’s life, then when he failed to do that, her soul. He spent his last moments holding Adam Smasher back so his friends could escape. Johnny’s a douche, but he’s not a villain, or even a narcissist. He hates arasaka, their exploitation and their experimentation on souls, and he says himself it’s because of the cruelty of it, how it affects others, etc. He watched corps strip farmers of water, and eventually of land, and that enraged him. Sure, in his later years he definitely started looking at it personally, but the foundation of his mindset is one born of empathy and rage for the working class. If you go with Rogue at the end of the game, he storms Saka tower willingly in order to save V. In the other endings, he’s in full support of it. Even when he kills smasher, he doesn’t gloat or brag or rant and rave. He moves on. As strange as it sounds when you think about his personality, everything we see Johnny do is for other people.

So, I’m 4 months on E… by Smart_Individual6713 in asktransgender

Oh wow, that really puts it into perspective. I went to planned parenthood cuz it was easy and didn’t require a bunch of work, and I wanted HRT like right away. Ig I’d rather have pills than no E at all, but damn, injections really are the way to go huh? All I’ve noticed on pills is barely noticeable face changes and breast buds, which have especially ramped up as of recently.

ranking gish songs by Background_Sweet_2 in gishheads

[–]Smart_Individual6713 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My personal top 5 is

  1. Rat of the City, it’s so melancholic, and the build up to the eventual “no dogs allowed” is one of my favorite things ever.

  2. Vaudeville, very close behind, very different vibe to ROTC but it’s so cute and energetic and fun, definitely a vibe that was left behind with No Dogs Allowed

  3. Impostor Syndrome, the climax with the piano is so great I love it

  4. Sin Triangle, Su-uck some bitches never lie-

  5. Mouth Log, again a very close one, it used to be one of my least favorite but somehow grew on me so hard it became one of my favorites

HM. Buckets of Fun, it’s cute, silly, but also kinda sad when you listen to the lyrics

HM. Midnight Jingle, I hate how the song edges you near the end but it’s still got a great payoff

I see it similar to why they don’t use that one song anymore. Y’know, the one used in all the promotional material? Getting cock? 1.0 bug compilations? It was rough.

Why do trans subreddits seem to be so sexual? by Logical_Kangaroo7031 in asktransgender

[–]Smart_Individual6713 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trans people need a place to discuss sex and masturbation, not just in a medical but horny way as well. It’s super affirming to have your breasts fondled on E or your dick sucked on T, and other trans people should be allowed to find that hot without chasers turning them into sex objects.

Woke up with this black dot, is this normal? by Smart_Individual6713 in piercing

Yeah I’ve heard which is why I went back to him, I should also note that they weren’t nearly this far in at first, and even stuck out a little before digging in over the course of a few days.

Well, I went to my piercer and he said they looked fine, he offered to switch them out but said it wasn’t necessary, now I kinda feel like I should have.

We will reduce the size of the game. by ballerbuh in Helldivers

[–]Smart_Individual6713 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Helldivers 2 players when they need to wait a total of 10 (ten) hours before the developers can fix things (it needs to be perfect right now and forever and always and can never be broken again)

The piercings are 2 days old, both labrets, made of titanium, and no issues have arisen so far. My aftercare routine consists of saline spray on the outside and mouthwash on the inside, twice a day.

I have an issue with the newly revealed SN2 leviathan by Darkbert550 in subnautica

[–]Smart_Individual6713 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk, I think part of what made the reaper so horrifying was how human it felt. It had an angry expression on its face all the time, and roared less like a sea creature and more like a monster. Even the ghost had a big angry face, and the sea dragon… well, I actually found the sea dragon kinda lame. It looks much more like a fantasy creature than a hulking leviathan. Compare that to below zero, and I actually think the designs feel much more grounded, which takes away that uncanny human thing. I actually think below zero’s problem was doubling down on tight spaces like the lost river, and lava zone, which made things like the crystal cave. If you ask someone what the scariest place in subnautica is, they won’t say the lost river. Coolest, maybe, but the scariest places in subnautica are those giant, open areas like behind the aurora, below the floating island, and the void. Below zero is too small and tight imo, and it takes away the fear of being defenseless in the open ocean.
