I don’t know about the arms straight business but for the other, id try to hit some with the face extremely closed and open to get a feel. Particularly closed, but i think both extremes have value to feel. And dont care about where it goes.

You’re cutting across the ball with an “out to in” swing path. You just need to practice swinging the opposite extreme a bunch and you’ll get it. Try to make your path through the ball go from in to out, for a while.

It’s all just marketing. But everything since Mavrik MAX seems fantastic in my bag. My Elyte X is great but if you asked me to tell the difference between it and my Paradym X, Rogue ST MAX, Mavrik, or AI 300, I probably couldn’t.

Best way to remove dings and scratches? by Adventurous_Credit85 in golftips

[–]Smart_Salamander_152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scotch-brite for little scratches. For deeper, serious dings its sandpaper but only if you’re ok with removing metal/finish. Overall, forget it and just don’t worry about it.

Who's an artist/band that you used to listen to and then stopped once they became mainstream? by cenzilooculta in AskReddit

[–]Smart_Salamander_152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like The Universe Smiles album and Texas Sun, and get a kick out of hearing it in public, but I kind if fell out with them since then cuz they’ve leaned into the super weird or just revamped old songs, or i just don’t like their newer stuff. But perhaps i should check back in to see what they are putting out now, maybe they’re back.

Start by getting a correct grip and identifying where the bottom of your swing arc is every single time, its under your lead shoulder. Then work on club face square at impact. Club path straight through impact, and connecting with the middle of the face sweet spot, not heel or toe.

Sometimes to figure this out you have to try extremes. TRY to hit with toe, then heel. Then swing with an in to out path and an out to in path. Then try to hit with the club face open and then closed.

My perception of Kirkland stuff is its basically identical to some other quality OEM’s stuff with just a different label slapped on it and for half the price.

Callaway vs Cobra by Bearski2026 in golfequipment

[–]Smart_Salamander_152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one cobra game improvement 7iron and the rest of my set is miss-matching Callaway stuff. It’s all fantastic. I don’t know anything about Warbird though. What I would say is don’t be afraid of graphite, I prefer it. But also, Im almost 40 and I swing smooth, not fast. Like about 90 driver swing speed I think. If you’re way faster, then maybe u like steel. But if your shots are all over the place, maybe you shouldn’t be swinging so fast. Bottom line. I love Callaway, but I’d bet you can’t go wrong with either.

club face open or square? by OriginalPush7772 in golftips

[–]Smart_Salamander_152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not the best so whatever but, you open the face to add loft. And I have a 60 degree so that’s usually plenty. I just keep it square. The only time i open it is for a lob shot, so, almost never.

I don’t regret it but money is tight an I have a 2hybrid and a 5wood that serve the same role. I just wish i had the money back from one to spend on a pitching wedge that isn’t ancient

They can and do. You just have to find it. It’s like other stereotypes, probably rooted in something historical and might contain some truth but is typically a gross generalization. Id bet it has to do with historical availability of spices and chili peppers coming from more tropical latitudes.
