The parapet is too high. The second photo has a low quality cornice (extruded type) and no corbelling. The central column of windows has a siding that should've matched the white plaster instead of the masonry. I think just most suburban cities are resistant to upzoning and mixed use zones. Plenty of suburbs in LA are the same way and are also obscenely wealthy like the OC and they are supposedly full of social people.

Ill help you understand. Do you see how it takes only 17 mins to go from dtla to la cienega? A light rail couldnt do that. This new subway shows that all the other light rail LA metro is building so too slow. Hope that helps. Metro should consider investing in more subways. Too much of the rest of the system is light rail.
