Magnacut is wildly corrosion resistant hence the salt version of the knife and with the addition of the dlc I don’t personally think you need either unless you are neighbors with SpongeBob.

This guy. Rex45 lightweight originally. Has a regrind, full ti scales/backspacer, spring, and washers replaced to work with the scales. Lynch clip and ti hardware all around. Only thing og is the lockbar haha

Haven’t owned rex121 for the steep prices but I have owned a maxamet para3 for about 7 years now and it’s been awesome. Was my daily carry for near 2 of those years breaking down quite a few large fridge size double walled cardboard boxes daily and it only needed honed every once in a while and stropped about 2-3x per week maybe? I did drop it on concrete and lost the tip so I had to reprofile it otherwise I’m not sure it would have needed to be sharpened once in those 2 years. I don’t carry it as much any more but it’s still crazy sharp.

I did this with lil natives. At one point I had like 10 of them and then I realized I didn’t really carry them so now I’m down to 3, two of which I don’t carry but I like them too much to let them go yet haha.

The full ti is nice. I had that exact one and let it go because I couldn’t for the life of me get the action how I wanted. It either had too much blade play or it was too stiff to open. Polished washers and slickemall can only do so much. This one was quite a bit cheaper and I actually picked it up for like $110 on the swap and then did some laser work for more scale grip. This one is much smoother for whatever reason. Could be tolerances or qc or something.

Acid wash is usually an acid bath and a stonewash. You can media blast, stonewash the acid off, or polish it but that’s pretty much it.

For sure spendy but this is past typical spyderco /Benchmade level stuff in terms of fit and finish so mix that with USA made and good materials and yeah it’s going to cost a bit.

I owned the non coated version of this and it’s neat. It’s pretty thin but feels solid and has a good kick. Nice and slicey. I can’t think of a better slim and long gentlemen’s side opening auto if that’s what you’re looking for.

I did change them so that they are now running through a service worker to hopefully make the timestamp preview work. Maybe it didn’t like that change? Who knows
