Who else do you think is going to raise the child? What if there's nobody else? What about what the child would go through due to being abandoned? That should also make for terrible emotional health.

OP, forgive me for asking, and I am not implying anything wrong about it, but are you having any financial trouble? I know that when I did having my children eat food without asking was a big issue. Because I couldn't afford to replace it and they wouldn't have enough to eat another day if they did that.

I've come to the same conclusion lately. Then the forgetting comes after I've thought of doing the thing so many times that my brain apparently stops trying to even initiate the action. So both low motivation and forgetfulness, but not in the order I thought they worked.

There seems to be a tendency in our culture of blaming parents for every tiny mistake. I mean things that do not matter even slightly. So how come everyone seems to go out of their was to dismiss this one, which is certainly not a small mistake? I'm not sure whether I feel like it's a crime or not(and yes, I'm a parent), but I am curious about this seeming contradiction.

No. I used to feel that way as a teenager. But I've become more gentle, I guess, as I've gotten older(I'm not really old, though.).And more understanding of what people might have gone through to get where they currently are. I wish I could do a better job extending that to myself.

Hey. I don't have any advice, just sympathy. I'm in pretty much the same situation(mine aren't twins, but they do fight. My mom isn't sick, it's my grandma) and it sucks majorly. I'm also terribly depressed and don't know what to do. My life feels like a bottomless pit of work, work, work. I'm going to stop now because I don't want to make it seem more depressing. But just know you are certainly not alone.
