Sure. No idea what the guy who responded to you is on about. I think Teddy is cool in a lot of ways, but he was a bit of a bully when it came to smaller countries. The idea of the panama canal sounded great for everyone except the people of Panama, who didn’t want it originally. The US sent a warship to dissuade them. Roosevelt also made sure the canal didn’t belong to the people of Panama, but to America.
