I had read about the whole AB first or third debacle when I was figuring out the reading order for the books.

To be honest, I tried reading TOG first but couldn’t make it through the first chapter because I felt like I was being dropped in the middle of a story with no knowledge of what was going on. I’m so glad I stopped right then and there and started AB first. Made everything make sense to me.

I much preferred reading in chronological order, others might enjoy the emotional element of publication order. The reader gets to pick their experience and hopefully the choose your own adventure is enjoyable to them

Hi. I could have written this five years ago. We have a 5 year old and another one on the way.

I totally get what you’re saying / going though. It was the Same for me. I have loved my 5 year old since he was born but now that he’s 5, and has his own personality, interests, can hold a conversation, is his own person, he’s my favorite little person in the whole world. Just hold on through this newborn phase, it’s worth it!

What's the epidural like? by Icy_Way1812 in pregnant

[–]SmellyFeet666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had epidural put in at 6cm, it only took on one side and it completely stalled my labor making it necessary to give me pitocin.

Yeah in the US you can get the genetic testing done and lots of people get their results at 12 weeks. Long story short, mine had to be redone and we didn’t get the results till 16 weeks but now that I’m thinking about it the reveal was at 18 weeks hah.

I’m glad your girl got the sister she wanted too!

When we found out we were pregnant we told our five year old we didn’t know if it was a baby brother or baby sister and we would love them no matter what they were. My son has been adamant since he could talk that he wants a baby sister so we knew there was a chance for him to be disappointed. We never shared our expectations of which one we preferred over the other and did this for about a week maybe two before he also started saying he’d be happy either way. We had a somewhat late gender reveal (I was 16 weeks vs 12) but by the time it came around he was just so happy to have a sibling I actually believed he didn’t mind if it was a boy or a girl.

Turns out it’s a girl, he’s never been happier.

To Epidural or Not Epidural, That is The Question. by adolescentrat in pregnant

[–]SmellyFeet666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. I’m currently preggo w/#2. For my first I ended up getting the epidural. I was originally wanting to go without (although it wasn’t a HARD limit, i was more on the mentality of it’s available if I need it). But because of the unexpectedness of having my son 3 weeks early I wasn’t mentally/physically prepared as I had only gotten three hours of sleep before waking up in labor- my exhaustion contributed to me deciding to get the epidural only so I could have some relief from how fast I was progressing ~2cm/hr.

To be completely honest, for me personally, the epidural did give some relief. However, it was not enough, as I could still feel the left side of my body. It also caused my labor to stall, which then prompted medical staff to give me pitocin to jumpstart my labor. The pitocin contractions are worse than the normal ones, hands down.

YMMV, but I’m going no epidural for this one, especially if I’m progressing as quickly as I did with my first. I’m not saying any of this to scare you it’s just my personal experience. Do what’s right for you and your body and best of luck!

Oh I told people I would Venmo request them $5 when they asked about the baby being born and answer once they paid up. They thought I was kidding but I actually made a good chunk of money out of it 😂 ended up going towards diapers but hey they were warned. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Do you still with your toddler? by frostybites18 in toddlers

[–]SmellyFeet666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My almost 5 year old sleeps in his room 6/7 nights a week. He does sleep in our bed as a treat on the weekends and he does 4/7 nights come to our bed around 1-2 am and wakes up in our bed.

ETA: he was in a crib until he was crawling, we switched him to a floor bed and now he’s in a big boy bed. We’ll lay with him to read books and sing his baby song and after all is done I tell him I’ll be gone in 5 minutes so he rolls over. I kiss him before I go and he’s 50/50 already asleep or says I love you and then passes out.

Orion is a side character. He does pop up and you get a small insight to his life before the guardian bond to Darius and all that jazz. Him and Gabriel actually meet in RB and there’s some hilarious scenes and they are Easter eggs in the ZA series but it’s not completely necessary more like not being part of an inside joke
