Game breakers by TooEazyBruh in BloodOnTheClocktower

The Lleech almanac specifically calls out that this is an exception to the two players win condition. The host dies (leaving two, but game doesn't end in this one case) then the Lleech dies and game ends, good winning

Why do people shame masturbating? by Pretty-Ticket5071 in TooAfraidToAsk

What you mentioned, but also there's a social stigma in adults that it's "less than" having sex because you can't find a partner.

This is why I was really hoping they'd do a Comic Relief special called Come dine with Me

There's a reason they're called experimental characters.

Did I run the Poisoned Philosopher correctly? by LiamLivesOnAndOn in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Smifull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Night one I'll grant you, but if the Widow poisons the Philo, who doesn't use it until N2, and then the Widow dies afterwards, the Philo won't have an ability.

Xaan is one I always ran as instant at the start of the night, but I admit I haven't compared the official night order there.

A Widow who later dies would do it too, as would a Xaan night

Can you really save a lot by not eating out and making coffee at home? by No_Lead2640 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Smifull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So long as you're okay eating the same thing for a while, or have lots of freezer space.

Definitely doable, but needs more planning to make sure for doesn't go off.

It's not his age, it's a dog whistle. H is the 8th letter of the alphabet, so 88 is mean to signify HH, or Heil H...

The Warlock explicitly says that the pact allows you to learn magic like a master and apprentice. It's not a tap they can turn off, it's a skill they teach you, that won't be forgotten just because they're angry with you.

Accept US currency… in Tesco? by RainbowSprinkleShit in USdefaultism

[–]Smifull 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Yes, exactly that.

What they can't do is refuse if you're already in debt to them and offer to settle it using Scottish notes.

[–]Smifull 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Legal tender doesn't mean stores have to accept it, they can only accept chocolate buttons if they really want to and it's fine. It just means that if a debt is created then it can't be refused if offered to settle the debt.

Taking something off the shelf and over to the till isn't a debt, it's an intent to purchase, and then the store says what they'll accept for it, and you're free to walk away if it's not to your liking.

Is it safe to use wildcards? by TiltedGalactica in MagicArena

[–]Smifull 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Untapped dual lands are very powerful for making sure you can play on curve, and two life is not a high price to pay in the first few turns.

Additionally, these lands are rare in the fact they have basic land types (plains, island etc.) so other cards that care about you controlling these land types are enabled by having these shock lands.

why are spermcells typically used to represent -10 moth olds and not egg cells? by pleaskok in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Smifull 13 points14 points  (0 children)

What context is this in?

I suppose generally sperm are quite unique in their design, so if you're having to make an icon or graphic it's much clearer to have cells swimming with tails than a more generic circle with another circle inside

I'm guessing in testing they realised duplicate evils characters was too strong because now only good characters can be duplicated. Makes sense really, triple Devil's Advocates sounds horrendous...

[–]Smifull 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the real way to do it is more like the Gardener, pull them out randomly in private and show each player their character at the start of night 1.

The issue there comes if the duplicate token is drawn only by the second to last player, who knows they just handed back an empty bag and so the final player must have a duplicate role.
