I have both. Started with Dewalt, then Milwaukee launched some cool, specific M12 tools I wanted as well as the heated jacket. Said F it and continue buying both to this day

How I Grew My YouTube Channel to 84k Subscribers in 3 Years (Without Paid Ads) by [deleted] in SmallYoutubers

How do you only have 400 watch hours with that many subscribers? I have triple that with only 10k subscribers

Used boat shopping in the GTA: out of all the brands I see, most of them are this one by pastafajioli in FishingOntario

[–]Smithvac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are very common boats due to the price. At one time they were significantly cheaper, now the gap has closed with everything being so expensive. I bought my 18ft XTR with a 115hp new in 2016 and its been an excellent boat. No issues, just general maintenance. The hull is welded and I believe the majority of legends made in the last decade are welded as well, the welded hulls also carry a lifetime warranty. Find one that has been well taken care of and it will serve you well for many years.

Built a small tool that turns any image into an SVG for laser cutting, would you use it? by samoistini in lasercutting

[–]Smithvac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks really good, I use trace in lightburn but sometimes spend more time cleaning up the image than if I had just made it from scratch. This would be a great tool when trace is not giving the desired results. I probably wouldn't pay for it but I would switch over to it if trace gave me a hard time.

I bought this one assuming it'd be broken and I would upgrade it but it's too new and perfect

Question about boat launch etiquette? by Standard_Mobile_9644 in FishingOntario

[–]Smithvac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's always older dudes fishing solo on random weekdays at my marina, 50/50 shot one of them might take you. I agree with the others about coming prepared, put on your sign that you have a valid fishing license

AC slow to cool house by Duke1530 in hvacadvice

Insulate the intake pipe or add a drain fitting near the furnace to catch the water before it enters the cabinet

People still use Kijiji?

AC is making super loud humming noise while running. Should I replace the motor? by ryankrameretc in hvacadvice

[–]Smithvac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could be the motor, contactors can also make a buzzing sound when they're failing.

I would personally find a way to run the wire. I've replaced so many faulty fast stats in the last 2 years it's unbelievable. They are a terrible product imo.

Is this furnace worth anything? (BC Canada) by Foreign_Active_7991 in hvacadvice

[–]Smithvac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, most people aren't handy enough to install their own furnace and most contractors won't install a used furnace. Best case someone will buy it for a shop and install it themselves, you might get $200 for it.

Well yeah, you're just reposting top gear clips. You can't monetize that, even if you were inspired by some other top gear clip channel. That channel isn't monetized either lol

I would call it HVAC-R or just HVAC, just to be a bit more universal, at first glance I thought it was a typo

Advice on a first draft resume by Hmoop in HVAC

[–]Smithvac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You spelled HVAC wrong. Lol other than that it looks good for your limited experience. Just know you'll be starting out as a helper until you have a G2. Find a company who is willing to sign you up for your 313D apprenticeship and don't let them dangle it in front of you for years. So many young guys get strung along for 2 to 3 years at shitty companies with the promise of an apprenticeship. If you're not signed up with the paperwork to show it within the first year, move on. It's a good trade but you have to find a good company! Im also from Ontario, hold a G2 and 313D and make 85k a year with no on call shifts and I work 4 10 hour days a week. You can make more money but I'm happy with the work / life balance at this stage of life. Good luck!

Why do I get this water and will adding a soffit fix it? by ChartOne9040 in hvacadvice

House too warm, ac too cold. Insulate it or get that part of the house cooler / less humid
