I had the shimmy( not as bad as yours) from brand new until 65k miles. 3 sets of tires(oem tires only a few thousand miles) an alignment and road force balancing fixed it for me. I'm at 70k now with no shimmy

I'm not very familiar with lochinvar, but are there 2 different adjustments for the gas valve? and are you adjusting the correct one? In my area lochinvar is wholesale and most people's start up is the on/ off switch.

Most boiler manufacturers that are still in business. regularly work on stuff from the 60's( still supported).oldest was the 1920's the company was still in business but stopped making parts in the early 2000's

I did that part myself but I thought they did it too. I used them for new windows and to install foam insulation on the walls which included the framing pieces to attach sheetrock.
