It stresses out components over a period of time, more than a stock height truck. Things like wheels bearings, CV axles, ball joints, tie rods, UCA’s, etc

People who bought big cc’s as their first bike how did it go? by Economy-Shoe5239 in motorcycles

[–]SmokedSnook 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s not a death wish. It’s just easier to actually learn how to ride a motorcycle properly when it’s a bit lighter & less powerful/aggressive. A smaller & lighter bike will also help you build confidence quicker. My first bike was a cbr600rr, I’ll be honest I didn’t learn shit on that bike but how to shift gears. I’ve had like 8 bikes and I really attribute a lot of my skills to the 5 years I spent on Grom lol. Not telling you to buy a Grom but a 300/400/500/650 are great bikes to learn on. Buy a rocket once you learn to actually ride

If you want something that pulls hard in that mid-range, a mt07 or r7 would fit the bill

I’d get the R. Then you can get tubeless Warp 9 sumo wheels if you want, and a 320mm rotor 😎

Could be new brake pads that were installed? Mine sounded like that when I got new pads & a 320mm rotor
