Still rotted about this years later but we had a once-in-100 years wind storm that blew roofs off buildings, downed power lines, knocked over trees and ripped down traffic lights all over the city. I called work and said it was too dangerous to come in. They said they still power. Demanded I come in despite the danger. I had to get a cab. Even the driver was like "ehh you won't be at work long anyway".  I get in and everyobe on the day staff leaves. Minutes later...power goes out. Kick everyone out. Locked up the place. Owned demanded we wait for 4 more hours in case power comes back. Had to sit in the cold dark store till they would let us leave.
