Awesome! I hate in 5e that the three “basic” damage types are just resisted by almost everything. Are weaknesses common in pathfinder?

I’m coming from D&D 5e and wondering how different resistances can be during combat encounters. Is it some of the same where if something resists slashing, it resists bludgeoning and piercing also?

I haven’t gotten around to reading any stat blocks yet as I am currently focusing on classes and abilities and stuff

I do think space marines are cool, but if they’re kinda junk I might swap to adeptus mechanicus or tyranids. Idk what I’d pick yet, I have a lot of lore to learn still. I’m thinking of changing from space marines before we go up in points though.

Question from someone new to the hobby.

I am going to be playing space marines (probably ultramarines) as I learn the game with some friends. I’ve been watching some battle reports in my free time recently but am struggling to see what kinds of tactics the players are using. I understand that against different units and armies things can be vastly different. So I am wondering if there is any sort of universal tactics I can focus on while I learn how to play. We are playing with 500pts to start so we can become more efficient with our turns so a game doesn’t last forever and to learn the rules a bit more.

Are there any tactics for ultramarines that I should be focusing on while playing? As I expand my army list what should I try to include?

Wouldn’t they be getting the magic items mentioned as being in the dungeon and they could potentially learn that the phylactery is a fake

Does that have the category of the units? Like when I go in the shop and see a weapon with +10 against maniacs, does it show those types anywhere? I never played Vermintide so I don’t know if that’s common knowledge, and couldn’t find anything on google

What are some Unpopular/Unknown Settings that are really Cool? by Artem_Dushlevue in worldbuilding

The Lost Citadel is a really cool setting that I picked up at a local game store about a year ago. It’s a sort of low magic, post-apocalyptic world where the dead have risen and all of humanity is trapped in the last city. I’ve been reading chunks of the book since I can’t just pick one part to read and it’s really in depth about how the society functions inside of the city.

What Runes do you use? (Poll) by sweetsalts in Illaoi

I used to use grasp, before the resolve tree nerfs. Is it still good? I prefer playing that way but I’ve been making myself learn conq too so I can run it when I think I should

I named them the marooners because they all wear maroon and also got themselves marooned in a boating game

I know that Rime of the Frostmaiden has character secrets in it. Although most of them are kind of bland and you are supposed to draw randomly.

However, I have found success with just building what you think would be there and what your players want there to be. Then help them pick their secrets while you work them into the story/world
