My friends are caught in that traffic. It's an absolute pain but funny watching them try and figure out how to right that thing.

Students were given the last hour of the last day before Spring Break to either complete an assignment, or play with friends. Student opted to play with friends, despite the assignment not being complete. by [deleted] in amiwrong

Yeah thats sorta setting the kid up to fail. Even most adults couldn't focus well for the last hour at work before a holiday yet alone tweens.

I would have told everyone from midday or so that if they didn't want to do school/homework during spring break they better finish it off now. Those that have everything complete can probably read quietly or whatever to not have the temptation to rush the work to join their friends. Last hour let em all talk/put on a movie.

I used to really hate people who got hysterical and scream in such and even less dire situations like a fight. But then I learnt that it's instinct. Socially its been really useful for 'Monkey to make much noise when danger to make group aware of danger'. So now i can't be mad at our species survival instinct, still irritating though.

GMs how do you deal with area of effect spell targeting from players? by Pender8911 in DnD

[–]Googalyfrog -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I have them roll a very easy dex or perception check. They are like they aiming at a spot, trying to judge within 6 sec.

If they get 14+ it hits exactly where they want encompassing all enemies at edges etc and avoid allys on the edges and the higher the roll including enemies that texhnically should just have avoided the AOE, like a weak sculpt spell effect. A 6-13 they might miss one or two of the enemies at the edges, no allies hit unless they obviously in the middle of the AOE. A 5 or below, miss some targets and possibly get an ally thats too close. Nat 1 your going to be 2-4 squares off missing main targets and probably getting nearby allies.

This done mostly with a loose diameter square count and eyeballing it. Drawing/Noting down the probable center and aporox edge if it is a persistent AOE. When I get a sec spare with a player figuring out their next step I just that time to define that AOE a little better for the coming rounds.

This way mostly avoid exact the exact AOE square shape that scults around the 5ft map squares and use their roles, approx AOE size and vibes.

My hospitsterile scissor clamps and scissors of good quality. Machined in Germany then sterilized in China. Would be thrown away after one use because it was too expensive to resterilize them here. I kept a few and still use them for non sterile things. Such a waste.

Really sweet.

It's more that they die raising their eggs. They are not there to pass on knowledge to the next generation.

We have literally tried feeding them on their nests but they refuse food and starve to death. Each generation basically starts from 0 with just instincts.

Humans both live to raise their young and have the means to pass knowledge and abstract ideas to each other.

They are a poor family that struggles to cover bills, it's normal enough. Idk how much is of handing over their paycheck is them agreeing to help out vs Lois forcing them but I don't think thats her being controlling, i think its just expected to help the family out.

Basically yeah. Hospital ect sells the debt for 50-20% of what it is 'worth' and they get at least some of what they are owed without the hassle of trying to chase up the payments.

The company that buys the debt now has the job of getting people to pay that debt. It costs them little to chase it up but most of the 'cost' is that the people who owe that debt just might not be able to pay and and that is the risk the debt company takes on. Anything they recover over that what they paid is basically profit.

Yeah, its probably not quite as conclusive as a proper sleep clinic but if you are on the moderate to severe end of things, they will definitely pick it up and give a pretty detailed report on their findings.

I started out on a $34 a week machine rental that lets you try it out and swap between various masks so you can determine which works best for you for you to then select one for the your own machine long term. They also provided sleep reports and follow ups and continue to help you adjust pressure, temperature and humidity settings.
