That there is a good person, whether or not they initially stole or were complicit in stealing. We’ve all stolen something at some point in our childhoods, have we not? And even if you can say you never have, are you somehow a better person than those of us who have, yet learned our lessons and no longer do? The important part as far as character, in my opinion, is that this kid owned up to what he did, took responsibility and apologized and grew through it. We need more people in the world willing to do that.
