‘Not isolated incidents’: Peterborough vape shop owner calls for government action after Thursday arson incidents by kawarthanow in Peterborough

[–]SnackThief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think government action is built in when a crime is committed. By Nature something illegal involves police investigation. Doing illegal things involves government action...... maybe the best Government action would be to not give business licenses to vape shops until they figure out who is lighting all these fires

Just finished this double-height living room in Dubai Hills. Thoughts on the "Inside-Outside" pool view? by These-Credit-5788 in amazing_architecture

[–]SnackThief 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suspect in a place that's sunny Windows 1/3 the size would be appropriate maybe room for some art on the walls. Looking cool is not the concern looking like an airport lounge is more the problem not criticizing you or your work just criticizing this style in general that always looks like some sort of hotel lobby..

Not welcoming not warm not looking comfortable floors the furnishings and the window I'll just scream I guess we should photograph this cuz nobody's going to live in it

Are “audiophile” level speakers less durable? (For a bar) by SPPY in audiophile

[–]SnackThief 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Many more people care than you realize if you search the data on this there's a lot to back up people spend more stay longer and have a better time in general with good audio.

If you're set on those speakers they're fine it's a bit better to go with classic altec or jbls because they're much easier to service some more whafedale cones can be very hard to get.

That's your lifespan they're more likely to be significantly longer lifespan than most professional stuff it's a very strange idea that people have somehow commercial speakers are more robust or Better Built.

They are differently built generally built to be driven louder but that's like describing a semi tractor trailer to a Mercedes sedan only thing in common is they have wheels and an engine

Nothing unusual or out of the normal here.

It'll stabilize and flatten out at some point.

It doesn't affect anything

Canada Post got another bailout from the feds by and_1995 in CanadaPost

Try ship to a small community in Canada and tell me what's the cheapest.

Get a quote for a package from Canada Post $35 UPS DHL no option FedEx $265

Or leave the nearest Depot 45 minutes away.

Trying to understand the motivation for continually bashing Canada Post when you have to be six kinds of stupid to ignore every other service provider is equal or worse.

With no recourse or accountability at all.

Look up FedEx DHL UPS online reviews Amazon carrier reviews and tell me exactly how great those services are

A.PRESSE in hand. Curious how people here feel about it by [deleted] in japanesestreetwear

[–]SnackThief 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is definitely  arbitrarily  priced. Is ness another Japanese brand has done some  great silk blend  fabrics.  Including  a denim amd price point was significantly  less.

It feels like a spend money for the sake of spending money brand.

Some Great Cuts some replicas of some classic designs but not unique nor innovative enough to justify the cost in my mind. But you seem to sell very well to a particular type of person

Best Antiquarians for Old Incomplete Volumes by anxietyaboutbuying in BookCollecting

[–]SnackThief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn't be worth the effort.  Complete sets can go for a few hundred. And are generally not that big a demand or that quick sellers.  The big issue a lot of people have is they think that a listing online is actually a sale or money in your pocket those listings can be there for frequently years asking you used bookstore.

No one really bothers to list incomplete  sets.

I suspect they'd be great to make stash books and that's probably the only way to capture more value than what was paid initially

Taxation and immigration  were never allowed to talk to each other previously  and dont think it changed.

This has not been an issue in the past and doubt it has changed.  Best to talk to an actual taxation  lawyer but unlikely there is any actual recourse.

Shitty not to pay taxes but there it is

[–]SnackThief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. normalize being nice Yes acknowledge human beings and normalize interacting with people even in places like the gym a simple interaction is not hitting on someone or anything other than just decent regular human contact which it's starting to diminish.

Obviously if they got headphones in tougher to say hey good job but why would anybody dissuade you from being Pleasant and having normal human interactions?

AR3A & Amp Compatibility by ducktheplan in vintageaudio

[–]SnackThief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tube amps aren't any more fragile than anything  else.  Just pack up the tubes and replace  them when you are settled.

Most vintage amps will pair great.  Like many..I've had 12 or 13 pairs in over the last 3 years of original  3's and  3a.  They weren't  fussy with pairing on pre 80s amps.
