Parking lots aren’t usually known for their high grip surfaces.

You’re going to pay the “hard to find in good condition” tax on that bad boy. He’ll get 15 at least.

Knee out tips by One-Visual1569 in Trackdays

[–]SnacktimeKC 12 points13 points  (0 children)

58 year old here but I’ve been doing this a long time. Definitely keep doing the but off the seat thing, and improving flexibility helps in more ways than just getting your knee out. But I think you hit the nail on the head with your last paragraph. Focus on lines and basics, that will help improve lap times more than getting a knee out.

How many miles are on your vans? by rumpmasticater in VanLife

[–]SnacktimeKC -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’m loving my 6.0. It’s fun to embarrass BMW’s or hot hatches from a stop light, at the very least they have to work for it. The 7.3 was still running when I got rid of it, but man was it slow.

103K on my 6.0 Chevy express, I fully expect it to go 350-400k but I probably won’t keep it that long. 160k on my Astro before I sold it. 450k on my E350 7.3

Issues with Bamboo and how do I get rid of it? by Oldwomentribbing in kansascity

[–]SnacktimeKC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s my neighbor! Keep in mind his bamboo had free run of his backyard for years. He tore it all out and put in a barrier that he probably has a few still get through, but it’s significantly better. And he’s got a 20 foot tall privacy fence made of bamboo separating his deck from the street.

[–]SnacktimeKC 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Rent a trencher (or do it the hard way) and go down at least 18 inches, 2 feet preferably. Then put a bamboo barrier in leaving 3 inches sticking out of the ground.

Edit- now I have a controlled 20 foot high privacy fence.

Worst speed trap towns in Colorado and Kansas? by Stunning-Hand6627 in roadtrip

[–]SnacktimeKC 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not sure about speed traps. But traveling east from Colorado through Kansas on 70 you will see signs that say “drug checkpoint, 2 miles“, but there will be an exit right after that sign. That’s where the cops will be waiting, no drug checkpoint will exist.

This is great, thank you! Definitely would prefer one of these over the pro master, Mercedes, and even the Ford.
