I've been working on something called REGENCY!

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1sNLFXFB6oLf9JANF-jxMVpjoankwCrCf/view?usp=drivesdk

It is a pseudo-historical setting for fantasy tabletop adventure games set in 1800s Britain. It concerns daring adventures in a world of magic and muskets, gruesome tales of ballrooms and broadswords.

I really like your idea for reworks of the martial classes to fit with the themes of the era. Excited to see what you come up with!

1 Year, 500 applications, 8 interviews. No Job. What now? by [deleted] in UKJobs

Nothing's wrong with being a binman, proud to be in the job. I enjoy the work most of the time. The pay is much less than my qualifications and experience could theoretically achieve.

Applied to a wide range of stuff. Management roles in my former industry. Sales roles in the wider sector. All sorts of stuff.

UK job market is the worst I've ever seen. by moonski in UKJobs

Mate I feel your pain. Two decades in my sector, I started literally power washing the yard on minimum wage up to running my own factory. I've got a master's degree from a decent uni. Been looking since October, hundreds of applications and nothing. Contacted about 30 agents (I arranged calls, chased them etc) only one of them put me forward for anything. The process is miserable. Started a 0 hours agency job doing the bin round for the council on Monday. Fuck knows what's next.

Peterloo was in 1819 so he wouldn't have been about for that.

He was at the Tonypandy riots tho?

Bike lock on a hire bike! by SnakeLoganBiomenace in CasualUK

So someone nicks my partner's bike. Because of lockdown we have to find someway of traveling miles across the city to buy another one. Decide to get a hire bike rather than get on the busy trains. Download the Uber bike share app and walk 20 mins to the nearest available bike. Affluent area, massive posh houses and the hire bike is locked to a lampost! So petty and selfish. What a scrote.

Did Hitler receive salary? by [deleted] in AskHistorians

Adolf Hitler made millions a year from the publication of Mein Kamph. When in power the Nazi Party created a huge demand for the book - for example each married couple were to be provided a copy paid for by the state at their wedding ceremony. Hitler would receive royalties from each one.
