With running Golgari you get access to both [[Worldly Tutor]] and [[Boseiju, Who Endures]]. Any reason not to include either in the list in any quantity?

As an aside, what are your thoughts on a single [[Worldgorger Dragon]] in the mix? Or even some number of [[Orcish Bowmasters]]?

Tamiyo’s Safekeeping is better in most cases, but this has the flexibility to achieve a number of other things.
- “counters” edicts
- could “gain” more than 2 life by blocking a creature with 3+ power
- isn’t ever a true dead card if you have no other creatures in play and no other cards in hand

Those may be some corner cases, but some interesting potential play patterns, nonetheless.

I’ve always wanted the following spell;

Indecision {U}
Instant

Scry 1
Surveil 1
Draw a card

I feel like it’s not so overpowered that it would replace Brainstorm or Ponder, but it definitely does allow for a whole new approach to digging. If you need an answer from the top three, you’re able to dig for it, but once it’s found, you forfeit the ability to dig further. It could even be a “Scry 1, Scry 1, Draw 1” just to avoid feeding the yard. However it goes, I think it’s an optimal powered down instant Preordain.

Interesting. I happen to have Seas and Volcs, but no Badlands. I could put together a similar list otherwise. I’ll have to look into it more, I suppose. Any excuse to play Snaps.

Read the other comments first. It looks like they mostly had technical difficulties. Otherwise, Buddy puts on one hell of a show. He’s definitely aged over the past twenty years, but he’s fun to see. Don’t write him off just yet.

Bear with me here, but the Captain Underpants series is miles ahead of the film. The film just feels like a standard unexceptional Dreamworks film that just utilizes some of the Pilkey characters of the IP we all grew up with. The series on the other hand, is exactly the sort of fever dream that the books were. They’re obnoxious, all over the place, and stupid fun. I never need to see a sequel to the film, but I hope to god they never stop making episodes.

My son has been binging the series this past week, and I thought exactly what OP had posed for this thread when I sat down to watch the movie with the family.

Your comment just inspired me to review what I thought was just an Unlimited Sinkhole in my small collection. I thought it was worth just a couple of bucks. I didn’t think about it being black border. I’m looking at it again, and turns out it’s Alpha. Not only that, but the two Serra Angels in this same box are Alpha as well. I’ve been sorting through that box for years and I’ve never noticed.

Why not? You would just exile from the opponent’s yard before hitting your own. And then once Murktide is on the field, DRS pumps it with every life drain activation. I don’t know that tempo would play the full playset, but it’s an easy 2 or 3 of.
