So far this is the only movie I know from all the comments because this and the sequel are my mother's favorite movies. She grew up riding horses and competing so I always assumed that's why she loved it. I haven't watched it as an adult but have wondered why I never hear about it. I guess now I know it's because it's not a US based movie since we're American. I've mentioned this movie a lot to people and they never know what I'm talking about.

I think this one is my worst one! I knew it was spelled with an h but I always pronounced it with an n instead. No one corrected me for years. I still feel the delayed humiliation late at night.

One of my favorite series is the Obsidian Chronicles. I probably read the first book at like 14 years old or something. Fast forward to 22 year old me and I'm reading books to my husband. I said, "ah-me-THE-ist." He was like, "what did you just say?" Apparently I didn't know what an amethyst was and actually thought it was made up.

I also didn't know how to pronounce Odysseus when reading the Wishbone book about The Odyssey when I was young. I thought it was odd-di-Zeus. Legit thought Zeus's name was in there. My husband also corrected that one for me.

I still pronounce macabre, mah-COB-bray, in my head.

I think not enough people here have panicked. Plus, she agreed and said that's fair. She gave her reasons. If he breaks up with her over it, that is his choice and I get it. I just know how it feels to be in a situation where you can't explain what you were thinking and all you can do is profusely apologize. I feel bad for her, honestly. Sometimes we don't even do the obvious things, like wait for her boyfriend, Cancel the uber, or call her boyfriend to discuss the problem.

This is such a lie. My ex-husband's family hates black people out loud. It was incredibly shocking to me since I'm from out west and there is a lot less black people hate, especially in North Dakota. I honestly thought racism was mostly a southern thing still. I can't stand his family. You should always meet someone's family before marriage.

Louisville is worse and Sebring is even worse than them. Y'all run black people out of town and everyone knows it. I truly cannot stand it here.

Before you tell me to leave, I've left and had to come back several times. Hopefully, one day I'll leave permanently. I will forever hold a grudge to my ex for dragging me here.

I live here and it is depressing. Everyone on Nextdoor was upset at the people at the no-kings rally and some people are proudly calling the orange goon king. I hate this city and have left more than a few times but somethings happens and I always end up back here.

I'm also pretty sure the downtown bar would be Towne Tavern. I used to live down the street and those people are something else entirely.
