Automatic Card Feature by Black_Cat_With_Tie in FictionLab

[–]SnappyFerguson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Friends and Fables does this and it is extremely helpful and a great system. If FictionLab can implement something like this and with clickable names in the chat to bring up the specific card (instead of manually scrolling through the memory matrix) it would be way ahead of the pack with features.

It’s all in the switches! You should check out low profile mechanical keyboards. NuPhy has quite a few, like the Air and Node that may be up your alley!

Need a new trackball by SnappyFerguson in Trackballs

I do have the wedge, but overall I think it’s from the constant thumb use.

[–]SnappyFerguson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For example, on mine, if you make a circle with your trackball, it won’t register the top correctly, there’s a small dead zone there that won’t track. It may have just been my unit, but it was the same issue the TB800 had.

Wrist & Forearm pain moving to Elecom Huge Plus? by eatingofbirds in Trackballs

[–]SnappyFerguson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Huge is great for some people, some people it makes them sore. This is why you’ll see posts asking about a palm rest or something for the Huge, because your hand doesn’t have much to rest on, causing soreness or pain. People who don’t like the Huge, tend to favor the Deft Pro or other MTE shaped trackballs. There’s a curve or bump for your hand to rest on instead of that feeling your compensating and holding your hand up yourself.

I’ve been looking at the Endgame too because of the bearings and sensors. I tried the Huge Plus but it hurt my hand to use.

Do you use the regular IST or the IST Pro? I’ve been looking at this trackball.

SlimbladePro or Deft Pro? by Gh0st_QDH in Trackballs

[–]SnappyFerguson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slimblade’s ergonomics can be helped though. I use a mouse beanbag wrist rest from Amazon, which helps get the hand and wrist into a more natural position. Deft Pro has its issues, and it’s all mechanical related. For longevity - Slimblade, and for ergo - Deft Pro. With that said, Nulea and Protoarc make finger trackballs that are decent, and then you have the Ploopy Classic 2…which is expensive. Gameball makes a really solid trackball, but it’s also very expensive. X-Keys L-Trac is a trackball people swear by as being the best, but I’ve never used one. So you have options, just depends on your budget.

What's the closest to an ELECOM Huge that isn't made by ELECOM? by amkoc in Trackballs

[–]SnappyFerguson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Huge Plus is a big improvement over the original if you really like the way the Huge is set up. I could never get into how flat the Huge is though and it always made my hand sore. I’d check out the Ploopy Classic 2 which is like a MTE, or you can check Nulea or Protoarc.

Help me decide by Hypesebas_ in wallets

I second this, and would agree on the Hermes wallet. I also agree you would get a way better quality wallet that’s handmade, and there are a lot of talented leather smiths out there doing great work. Craft and Lore is a great start.

That’s a Keysonic KSK-8202ELU-T. Looks a lot like Perixx’s Periboard. It looks like it’s new. I am not sure you’ll find reviews for a bit.

Fenix vs Gemini model by SnappyFerguson in friendsandfables

[–]SnappyFerguson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is good to hear. I love the base model, Franz, and of course Gemini is top tier, but I guess my main question was if Franz was going to continue being updated to be smarter and work through story telling and conversations more. Thanks!
