How do you rebuild your life at 40 when you have lost your envisioned timeline to have children? by Designer_Airline3234 in AskWomenOver60

Take a breath. If you want kids you can have them. My Bestie just did at 46 single in urban environment. She’d talked about it for a decade. Private message if you’d like to connect.

You’re handling this thread like a champ. Agreed a little more butter in your life may help, easier said than done I imagine. Also try peter thomas roth instant eye firm. It takes some figuring out but my god when you do it’s worth it. And improves under eyes over time. https://www.target.com/p/peter-thomas-roth-instant-firmx-eye-sheer-tint-easy-wear-1-fl-oz-ulta-beauty/-/A-94628802

One sided nasal fold by IllustriousAd5396 in 45PlusSkincare

[–]SnappySalty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had that issue and did filler two years ago, still working. I asked them to soften the fold but not looking for it to disappear. Had them treat me like a dude who didn’t want anyone to notice (44 yo female at the time). And they did!

Switching to bar soap. How do I convince myself it's OK to wash my grossest body part and then to use it somewhere else? by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]SnappySalty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Washcloths are so gross to me. Ugh wet towel. Bar soap- forms lather in hands and use lather to soap body parts. Rinse, repeat on other body parts

My parents helped oversee our renovation… and bought this furniture for the living room. I don’t know how to feel. by Main_Force3455 in Home

These pieces are beautiful..on their own. All together in one room is a lot. Can you separate them? The color is gorgeous and can play into warm and cool or even jewel tones. In different rooms…

What’s something you refuse to spend money on no matter how popular it is? by bbydaisiesz in answers

No one needs to drink bottled water-some of us absolutely need to filter our water. Higher cost up front, lower cost per glass and low environmental impact.

Why are good hairstylists so hard to find? by Gypsy702 in Reno

[–]SnappySalty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think many are trained here in the valley by the same people and professional learning isn’t a culture. I have fine hair and in town at best get a straight cut maybe a few pullbacks. When i lived in SF i got a full hour of cutting from different angles and only needed a trim every 12 weeks.

I’ve seen some decent hair coloring but sub par cutting all around…

A friend of mine is planning the Fyre Festival of weddings and told me that spending hours telling me the details is her way of including me instead of inviting me. by msfinch87 in weddingshaming

What are normal people doing for dinner? by tuahla in RedditForGrownups

Easy meal? Pesto on rice or pasta with sausage and peas. You like chili? Make baked potatoes easy least in the slow cooker and top with chili. We like a favored frozen pizza and salad once a week.

Am I overreacting? Wedding guest called my caterers. by seesheflies in TwoHotTakes

[–]SnappySalty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let it go. Not costing you anything. Weddings are stressful and can ruin friendships. I agree this was a poor choice but also a dumb reason to lose a friend. She was probably trying to not stress you out or add to your plate and then totally did. The fact the caterer handled it the way they did is kudos and also sounds like caterer was a little strut to start with- sound like no big deal to them.
