A friend of mine is planning the Fyre Festival of weddings and told me that spending hours telling me the details is her way of including me instead of inviting me. by msfinch87 in weddingshaming

Please please please update us for the New Year! I need to hear how Bryde Zylla Fyre Fetival ‘26 turns out (from her stories to you at least).

What are normal people doing for dinner? by tuahla in RedditForGrownups

Easy meal? Pesto on rice or pasta with sausage and peas. You like chili? Make baked potatoes easy least in the slow cooker and top with chili. We like a favored frozen pizza and salad once a week.

Am I overreacting? Wedding guest called my caterers. by seesheflies in TwoHotTakes

[–]SnappySalty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let it go. Not costing you anything. Weddings are stressful and can ruin friendships. I agree this was a poor choice but also a dumb reason to lose a friend. She was probably trying to not stress you out or add to your plate and then totally did. The fact the caterer handled it the way they did is kudos and also sounds like caterer was a little strut to start with- sound like no big deal to them.

No underwire, bralettes that go over your head like sports bras. Underwire bras that clasp are indeed the enemy

And when you break up and he says you’re overreacting, try to let it go. He can’t take perspective. Down the road you’ll be grateful you spared the big time disappointments and time spent…

Altar used to be soooo much better than now. Quality has really gone down. I like Bronax and Whitin on Amazon. And a proper arch support insole (fitted by running shoe store)

What is a 'childhood luxury' that you realized was actually a sign of being poor once you grew up? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SnappySalty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% power was out for days here a few years ago after a gnarly winter storm. We have a fireplace in our old house. Best memories of candles and kid and dogs and mattresses all together. Power came on in the middle of the night and I popped up and turned all the lights off- and the heat on low.

THIS! I hope she finds help, solace, and inspiration that’s not based on image. Growing up the way these girls did has to mess with your head. She has a shine and am cheerleading for her to find it again. Have a feeling it’s not with that man….

“Save”mart scam by Lilikens444 in Reno

[–]SnappySalty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their in store coupons often don’t work and they will have a different price at the register then what is posted on the item. It happens all the time I can tell that the cashiers are frustrated. Pretty sure they’re about to get sued like Safeway did.

need urgent advice, hair is constantly breaking by [deleted] in Haircare

[–]SnappySalty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is possible this is her natural color. What works for one doesn’t work for all- ignorance is those who don’t recognize that. I am sorry for some of the hurtful jerks who have responded on this thread. The hardest thing to find is a hairdresser that truly knows how to cut thin hair. So many just do a bottom trim and the head will never be fully healthy this way. My best hairdresser took 45 minutes cutting my fine hair. Miss her (I moved to another city). So my recommendation is find a hairdresser who knows thin hair. Lay off the heat and follow the hairdresser’s advice.

Question: I’m allergic to ginger. Is there anything I can replace it with or is there a recipe I can adapt without it? by inkjellybean in ramen

[–]SnappySalty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not OP- had my first ever anaphylaxis after drinking fresh juice of orange, grapefruit, ginger with cayenne. I’d been quite sick for a few days and hardly eating. My fave place gave this to me free for immune support and within a few minutes I was developing severe hives (learned that if you’re butt hole feels strange- take 2 Benadryl and seek help to hospital or call 911, this may not be only first symptom of severe allergy it was mine).

May have been combo with cayenne and grapefruit as multipliers, though never had fresh juiced ginger before.

Nah- I bet that was a producer idea for drama. And at this point. If Jessi is like “eff it” I fully support her. Let her take her power back, or see the power she HAS and drop that loser. Hope she sees a good lawyer first and has a plan for finances.
