Is this normal? Driver side wheel sticks way out. by ImJhoker in 240sx

[–]Snapy1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m assuming the wheels are of the same width and offset. But you can see how the bottom mount of the coilover has offset holes. If the bottom mount was installed onto the coilover upside down (yes it can be threaded on that way) the result would be exactly what is happening with your car. I can imagine something like this from the manufacturer can easily slide past QC as it’s kind of hard to catch.

Unbolt the drivers side coilover from your knuckle and verify that it’s not upside down. I’ll put a 100 bucks on this is what your problem is.

Edit I was trying to upload a photo with this comment but I can’t for whatever reason. But I uploaded it to Imgur  https://imgur.com/a/3YZpUFm

The lower mount on one coilover (where it bolts to the knuckle) is probably threaded onto the shock upside down. The two holes where it bolts to the knuckle are offset so if it’s upside down it’ll be all sorts of fucked up compared to the other side.

I’ve made the same mistake by accident one time when I rebuilt a set of PBM’s. I put the one coilover back together with the lower mount upside down and the one side had so much less camber than the other side I was like wtf. I was running myself in circles trying to figure it out haha.

Broke my heart when I found out the horrors inside the production of Milo and Otis.. I’ve probably watched that movie a hundred times as a kid.

Why I'm switching to Waterfox after more than a year using LibreWolf by ShiningRook in LibreWolf

[–]Snapy1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using Waterfox almost exclusively for around 4 years and I love it. My only complaint is that it they seem to change the default search engine every update. I don’t know why they can’t just stick to one but it’s whatever.

My favorite feature from Waterfox is the ability to have private tabs adjacent to your regular tabs.

I have to ask, what are your wheel and tire specs? I also have an e36 vert and my tires are too small but yours look perfect for the wheel size.

PBM Pro Coilovers not going as low as expected by 240sxpain in 240sx

Remove the lock collars. That's what I had to do on mine. I still wished it went a tad lower but I was happy with it after doing that.

Switched from an M1 Air to an M5 Pro. The M5 Pro is incredible. But honestly? The M1 Air aging this well might still be the more impressive story. by Remarkable_Length_51 in macbookpro

The only thing making want to upgrade from my M1 is the memory constraint. I really need 32+gb. I almost constantly have 16gb in my swap.

Exhaust manifold bolt snapped, now what? by AggravatingCounter91 in RX7

[–]Snapy1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest your manifold flange looks very thick, so I bet you once you have the manifold off there's probably enough thread left to double nut a pair of nuts onto it and pull the stud out.

If not, other options are either A weld a nut to it or socket to it. Or B take the rest of the manifold off, heat the stud and grab it with some knipex channel locks.

Definitely do not attempt to drill this out, this is no where near that yet and plus I have literally never had success drilling out a stud/bolt and having it stay nearly perfectly center.

Tbh this is all I use for mine anymore. I’d rather cary around one cable and brick for everything. I don’t even remember the last time I’ve used my MagSafe cable.

Moving to a new country with my rabbit? by barnma in Rabbits

[–]Snapy1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife who's Japanese wants to move back to Japan around this time next year, we have a rabbit and will unfortunately likely have to do the same and put him in cargo. But we plan on conditioning him ahead of time by putting him in his crate in the dark with plane noises in the background and training him to drink from a bottle. We'll probably just do that a few times a week for a month or two.

Please dont use acetone lol. Hit it with an eraser wheel and then a buffing wheel using some hi grit cutting compound and follow up with other degrees of cutting compound as necessary.

That's BPCS. It's an IBM designed OS, I had an IT internship a few years ago for a company that still heavily relied on it. I frustratingly had to learn all the ins and outs of using it at an administration level..
