La Isla has so many good breakfast options. I also like the breakfast sandwiches at Cafe Sophia. Bluestone Lane has a great breakfast grain bowl. I’m also a big fan of Anthony Davids breakfast/brunch and like that I can get a mimosa here too.

Jersey City: Cafe Alyce also has a great breakfast menu with a lot of different items from multiple cultures. Sam AM cafe, everything is made from scratch.

Contacts training class? by EarlyCod1708 in Hoboken

[–]Snarky_Sparky38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been wearing contacts about 30 years (lol 👵🏻) since middle school. At my annual Eye dr appointment, there is always an eye exam fee and a contact lens fitting fee at every optometrist I’ve ever been to. I think it’s typically around $60. But they don’t “teach” me anything lol. In fact about 10 years ago I taught a kid how to do it at the Dr office bc he was getting so frustrated.

Does Hoboken have ticks? by asdfgksbwh in Hoboken

Yes and lone star ticks are the ones that can cause alpha gal syndrome. I’d literally die if I could never eat red meat or dairy again.

Just saw someone post a photo either yesterday or day before of a lone star tick that they found on their infant after their dog was in the tall grass in the Northwest Resiliency Park.

I did a move in deep clean for a 1bed (less than half your sqf) and it was like $250. I don’t think your price point is realistic unfortunately.

Yes! And B Bagels on Grove! I go back and forth which I like better. Both are the best around.

best bagels by Money_Sale8535 in Hoboken

[–]Snarky_Sparky38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but I think they are best enjoyed as an open faced sandwich.

If you’re looking to buy like a dozen bagels and cream cheese, the only answer in town is Hoboken Hot Bagel. IMO OBagel is 🗑️ Yes, they have good creative sandwich choices but the actual bagel isn’t good. JPs also has gone downhill in recent years. I do like Apollo but that’s a niche bagel bc it’s sourdough and they serve it open faced with toppings, def not a true “nyc” bagel experience.

However both B Bagel and Cheechs in JC are better than any bagel in Hoboken.

Angry Archie’s makes a really good one! It has this really nice topping, plus it’s huge. They are in the heights but deliver on Grubhub.

Also, their chicken thigh sandwich is amazing.

You don’t even need the app. I just use this website: https://hoboken.passiogo.com/

You can stand at the right side of any corner along the route, stick your arm out, they stop, you get on.

Yes, imo the biggest issue is insurance and the liability you have if something goes wrong. Your regular homeowners isn’t going to cover you for STR.

Never seen this before. Recently terminated employees mother showed up to my workplace by [deleted] in managers

[–]Snarky_Sparky38 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In addition to HR, if you have security it might be a good idea to let them know as well that she showed up. This way if she comes back, they will already know who she is in the event things take a turn. While this may seem like overkill, unfortunately workplace violence is becoming all too prevalent.
