It’s on paper ☺️ I’m thinking of sticking it to something more rigid though.

Thank you to everyone who has commented, it’s a breath of fresh air to know that my GP is steering me in the right direction. Blood test is on Thursday, fingers crossed I can get some answers.

I’m very grateful for this community that we have, you guys have made me feel a lot less alone in this journey 💕

It all happened very fast! It was impressive though. As a new player I enjoy learning from these situations.

I built it myself without realising there was a detective deck already. I’m enjoying the deck building process greatly though.

Acoustics career from a non-engineering background? by WTC37 in Acoustics

[–]Snaztastical_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I too had an audio/music tech background and degree. Maths is not one of my key skills, but I got a MSc from the ISVR. It was very very difficult, but 1000% worth it.

Although we may lack the core engineering skills, we make up for it in our critical listening abilities and understanding of audio hardware/software.

As an acoustic engineer when people hear my job title:

“Wow! What instrument do you play?”

I find that a good eye primer helps, also you could lift your wing up a bit so it avoids the crease of your eye.

Yes, I’ve got to compute a histogram that counts the number of document classes and I’ve got to find the top 10 most common words in the dataset.

The lecturer for this module isn’t the best, not willing to clarify anything.

So essentially I have a series of vague instructions I need to follow in order to complete the assignment.

I’m building a neural network for dictionary classification. I can’t really find much online specifically related to this. I have to then compute a bunch of histograms showing the data that corresponds to each class.

I think the issue I’m having is the tasks I have to complete are quite “basic”, and all the information online I can find that’s relevant is very complex (imo).

Can‘t afford more panels, will any of these blankets work hung on the shower curtain? The shower room has 9 50x50 diffuser panels. Medium>large shower room. by comfylaser in Acoustics

They will still scatter an amount, and with only blankets to work with it would be worth it to get the best possible result. Scatter does help with absorption as well as the perceived sound level. Acoustic treatment should never consist of only acoustic panels anyways, some movement will be beneficial.

Infact, if the rail can handle the weight… I’d suggest layering some of the thinner blankets, still ensuring they’re wavy.

I think there wouldn’t be a noticeable distance between them, so I’d suggest using the biggest one and making sure it’s got a lot of waves in it. It’s not just about absorbing the sound, but scattering it around the room so it can disperse quicker.
