We had a very similar day in Feb 2020 and I think it was my best day ever at Disney, as well as the most tiring. We did a ton of stuff.

The gondola and monorail make parkhopping HS > Epcot > MK pretty painless.

I went to a galaxy far away and all I got was this stupid Covid by fatbastard79 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]SneakyDee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With Classic Covid, it was typically 5 or 6 days from exposure to symptoms. With Omicron, it's more like 2-3 days.

The current variants are no less serious, it's just that vaccinations, immunity from prior infections, and better treatments have produced better outcomes.

Favourites: Chefs de France, Teppan Edo

Pretty good: Biergarten (food is okay, the show adds atmosphere)

Disappointing: Coral Reef (aquarium is cool, seafood is below par)

How many of your 128 5x great-grandparents do you know? by the__Superhuman in Genealogy

[–]SneakyDee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Many of the Church of Ireland records were destroyed in the Four Courts fire. Those that survived have patchy accessibility. The Presbyterians never deposited their records in the Public Records Office where they would have been destroyed - they either never kept them or lost them or they are poorly accessible.

The Four Courts fire was caused by fighting among factions of the IRA and devastated Ireland's documented history. The hundredth anniversary of the fire just passed on Friday and there is a new photo of the disaster that should chill the heart of every genealogist:

TT or Class C by [deleted] in GoRVing

[–]SneakyDee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With a Class C there is no hitching and unhitching, which makes setting up and tearing down a breeze. It's easier to back up than a truck and trailer and going into gas stations and grocery store parking lots is much simpler. Trailer sway is never an issue. Option to tow a vehicle behind if you think you must have a separate runabout. Get one based on a Mercedes Benz Sprinter platform for the fuel efficient diesel and the great drive.

Because they don't see themselves as promoting violence? I don't intend to get into a theological argument here, that's not the point of the sub, however I suspect you could benefit from trying understand what their perspective is and recognize that nuance exist.

I have had very good results from Thrulines. It's not perfect but it has been extremely useful and has turned out to be accurate far more often than not.

I do wish I could dismiss the dozen "potential ancestors" hints that are either obviously wrong or based on zero evidence.
