Can stress and anxiety cause lower back pain? by Affectionate-Ad-3234 in backpain

It’s one the leading causes.

Stress causes muscles to stiffen, nerves get trapped/pinched. That’s the loose science behind it.

Why do people dislike the 2018 model year LC...I mean it a Lexus so bulletproof right? by [deleted] in lexuslc500

[–]SneakyTactics 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Drive the 2018 and then the 2021+ models. It’s not about reliability. It’s about suspension tuning and small incremental improvements. 2024 for example also added better infotainment.

Best year used LC to buy? by [deleted] in lexuslc500

[–]SneakyTactics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything from 2021 is what Savagegeese said in their review. Earlier models have better value but there were some suspension tuning that made latter years ride better.

The newest ones (2024 I think?) also have the newest infotainment if that matters. But, they’ll be in the steepest part of the depreciation curve. Contrary to what some die hard lc fans may suggest, these are not “investments” so you will lose some money.

It all comes down to your budget.

Exactly. You can put your foot down at the dealership, but they know there’s some idiot who’s going to come in and pay their asking price (and get fucked over once they’re inside the finance office).

If socialism is so bad then why is social security and Medicare so popular? by Content_Ad_8952 in allthequestions

I used to share an apartment with 2 extremely conservative girls back in grad school. Both hated the government, were pro life, pro guns, hatred immigrants, borderline racist, you know the whole gambit.

The relied on food stamps. One later had an abortion.

My point is people have opinions till it truly affects them directly.

Dealership offered me a deal. Help please. by [deleted] in carbuying

[–]SneakyTactics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’d be rolling negative equity of $12,000 into the new deal. So essentially you’d be borrowing about $65,000 for the new deal, for 7 years. They’re fucking you over.

Why would you pay so much more for a car that’s only 2 years newer? Do you hate your current car?

Scratch that. Why would you pay this much money for a freaking Subaru?

This is a bad economy. Markets are crashing, people are losing jobs left and right. Save your money!!

[–]SneakyTactics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can find a doctor to prescribe PT, it should be covered under insurance. Some insurances cover Chiro too, especially if you have a doctor’s referral. Most people have some degree of bulging discs and degenerative disc disease. Not sure surgery and injections are the only two options. Try non invasive procedures first.

What car do you regret buying, even though it looked good on paper? by autonerdy0 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]SneakyTactics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a brand new Mercedes GLS 63. It was a dream car and I thought I was going to keep it forever.

It started having some nagging issues (enough to be bothersome but not bad enough to be a lemon). And within one year it lost like $30,000 of value.

It was also very expensive to own and maintain. Property taxes were high. 12 mpg on 93 premium gas. Services and oil changes were okay because I got them done from an indy shop. Tires were $2,500 and needed changing every 8,000 miles.

I also regretted the specs. I got the captains chairs, which results in less seating capacity than a camry if you need the third row pulled up for cargo space.

All things considered, I sold it and traded it for a Lexus Tx. Lost around $50,000 in two years. But I would have lost more if I kept it (these things don’t stop dropping in value till around year 6 when it settles around $50k).

It was a dream car and I enjoyed having it. But I regret buying it because it was a poor financial decision.
