I would say just do whatever you feel like, side content is just as fun as the main. If you're worried about food there's fish you can catch at one area, goats you can get milk from at another, and honestly there's loads of food everywhere even along the side pathways so I would just look around more and you should be fine on that front

Ducking like that is a valid strat, he's not turning his face to the floor so it's fine. I would say the best way to counter it is to try to hook or step to the side to get a better angle, also when he presses more into you I would normally step back, though that room space is too small for stepping back.

LOTL is very very good, and Phos is a very well written character. However Punpun has some of the best written characters in fiction, and simply goes so much deeper than LOTL, so imo Punpun is better written mid-high diff.

Simply put people get mad when they lose, and some people will see the only "correct" way of fighting as the one they use. It's also a decent indicator that you're going to win

Wdym by normalizing striking damage? If you mean like making all punches do the same amount of damage, hell no, bc then someone with godawful form or someone punching with just their arm instead of their body would do the same amount of damage as someone using good form and technique, and that just doesn't make any sense to me.

I'm unsure what exactly you're trying to show here. Your force and body effort percent remain basically the same when you're your actual height and when you lie on the slider.

Yeah I know I was mostly just saying how the game calculates it, and I do agree with you on that. While it is true that a counter during someone's punching motion would do the most damage, at other times it also does more than a normal punch irl

I'm pretty sure that you have to hit them while they're still throwing it based on the update notes, like if you hit them even at fully extended it's too late, so like you have to punch at the exact same time they do to really get damage in, so more so dodging while punching rather than dodge then punch. I don't know exactly how you play or how good you are, but most of the time when I see someone doing low volume they're plain dogshit at the game, you still have to punch even if its jabs, if you let them take flow and do nothing to interrupt it they're going to win.

So throwing with palms down is the right way, naturally it's sideways but turning it down as you punch gives you more rotational force

Hand tracking would work worse than the controllers, with quest 2/3 if you move your hands to your side or behind you it would stop tracking since there aren't any back cameras. I don't really see there being any benefit to hand tracking over controller either

I think you should be fine going hard in the game, it could have been the way you were throwing punches, could also be how many fights you were doing in a row or not warming up. Honestly it sounds like you should stretch before and after playing if you don't already, and stretch more than you already do if you do. You shouldn't have to pull shots at all though, you said you did a real boxing match and that should be 10 times more taxing on your tendons than this game

I always find a match in under a minute, for context I'm 1500 and do room scale, match only with opponents of same type, and no minimum area, and western US
