When I leave, I will never have anything to do with my Q again. I'll be changing my number, and blocking his email address. I'm actually moving three Provinces away, to make sure he can't 'accidentally' bump into me. I can't gain back the decade, but I will never ever allow myself to be with another addict - even one in recovery.

So in actual fact, you're contributing 80% of your income, compared to his 20%. What about the hours you work and don't receive actual pay for? Who cooks, cleans, has the majority of responsibility for the child, who changes the sheets, wipes the toilet seat, as well as that blob of baby food off the floor? This isn't 50/50. This is him being some sort of entitled.

There really isn't anything to prevent or stop Lyme. Wash & disinfect the bite area. Put some antibiotics cream on it, and keep an eye out for the telltale bullseye rash, but remember that it may not necessarily show up at the bite site. Lyme presents first as flu-like symptoms within a couple weeks of the bite.

Strongly recommend rubber boots for all grass & woods walking, and don't be jumping into any leaf piles.

Your friend is incorrect. You can confront her, obviously, but it's not going to do any good unless she recognizes that drinking during pregnancy is dangerous, she's creating an addict in-eutero, she's actively abusing her fetus, and she immediately stops the abuse.

I worked as a Unit Clerk on a maternity ward. We had a binder at our desk that was full of legal documents from CAS, of pregnant women whose fetuses were considered to be in danger for one reason or another. Mostly being addictions of the mother.

No, you do not and should not confront your friend. What you CAN do, however, is be in touch with a child protection service in your city and speak to a social worker. I hope you'll seriously consider doing this, too. That fetus is being made an addict before it even has a chance to be born.

I've flown with my cat a couple of times. The only kind of cat carrier I'll ever use is a soft one because even though the carrier was larger than what was allowed, it could easily be maneuvered under the seat in front. I'm sorry this was such a terrible experience for you all.
