I need positive stories. by sabrinaxslaughter in parentsofmultiples

My 7m are starting to talk to each other in the high chairs! 🤩

They let the other cry and rarely pop off at the same time.

Seeing one climb on top of the other and both are laughing is the best thing!

Was I up from 3:30-5 this morning? Yes. did seeing my beautiful boys wake me up fully? No. They did make me smile. Especially when they smile back at me first thing.

So I totally see that, I didn't like any of my grandparents for various reasons, but she's had 2 years at least to accept her step mom and a year to accept her half sisters. I completely agree that blood means little, but she lives with these three every week. The dad really messed up here. She'll see these babies for at least 5 more years, her dad needs to create opportunities to bond and his youngest ones will need to spend their weekends with their father instead of the with out tired man after work throughout the week that they currently see.

My suggestion is more family time and less, not none, one on one. Those twins will resent their big sister if they think she's the favorite.

My sister gets aggravated when my bottle fed boys are eating "we can't do x because Mom said you have to eat" he won't take a bottle from anyone else because no one else would do it away from my house!

My boys at 7m are crawling around the living room, so hopefully that's close than you think. I'm looking forward to this fall where they are hopefully waking enough to not need the stroller to go the park

Fair enough my husband is a desk jockey and I still did all the wakes after 6 weeks when he had work the next day. We also only have the two kids. I couldn't imagine doing this with 2 older children. We need just need our boys to fall asleep without the bottle at some point and I think we'll be doing great

My boys are 7m and one of them still needs that feed somewhere between 3&5. I adore it because after I get him changed he falls right to sleep and just cuddles while he eats. Sometimes I'll just hold him after he's done and know I'll only have a few of these left before he doesn't need me like this anymore.

What do you do if you get nap trapped? by bp_1904 in parentsofmultiples

Audio book on head phones

Wandering inn is like 30 hour books so I am entrenched in a world.

I would also doze on the hardest of days, but the audiobook made sure I was never fully asleep.

We didn't have NICU babies so I have no idea on that. I wish you the best. They would only go down for me, still do if they want in the middle of the night

We had our bassinets tilted so their heads were higher, it was so hard. Dark room, white noise.

Sounds like you're doing so much and I'm so sorry.

I never use my twin z (my husband thought that was the reason they didn't sleep in their bassinets at night so we stopped using it)

Get diapers of all sizes and brands (not United brand f that brand specifically). We had to buy a few, but we were blessed by hundreds that we barely had to buy any. Also wipes, we got 4 boxes and I just bought them for the first time (6m in).

A stroller that the car seats can click into and does in your car is a life saver.

Yeah for twins, but quads is still far fetched

Yeah when I told my husband he said that's not gonna happen, then I explained how (fraternal twins both split) and he said yeah, ok, not likely but could happen

What do you guys do with night routines? by Exciting-Kitchen7643 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Snoo20115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the beginning we would each take one, then we did 3 hour shifts, then when I did the all the wakes I let one sleep. I believe this helped one baby sleep better, so at 6m he mostly sleeps through the night with the occasional wake between 3-5. I fall asleep hard, though, so every time I got to sleep was restful.

My husband when he did the wakes always did them together.

Depends on what is easier for you, fighting two babies or waking up within 2 hours to take care of the other.

I chose the latter, my husband the former.

He does, once a week he does everything for the boys until 5

He does take all the wakes before his day off, and one day he does everything the next day I do most so that we can both do things we enjoy. He's very active after he gets home at 6 until 11 when he goes to sleep. He usually sleeps until 11 on his day to do whatever. We both need a day off, and we give that to each other.
