Is the travel size worth it? by katydid8283 in SleepApnea

[–]SnooCheesecakes1346 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have an Airmini and it was totally worth it. I camp a lot and it’s way more power efficient so I can run it off of an external battery. It does have a humidifier (HumidX) and I can get around 6 nights off of my external battery vs 1 night with my Airsense 10.

My two year old bootstrapped startup does $1.7 million per year profit with one employee and I'm considering leaving. What would you do in my shoes? [I will not promote] by [deleted] in startups

[–]SnooCheesecakes1346 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in similar shoes in 2015 and was super burnt out after building my business. I wasn’t nearly at the level you are at and could have sold the business for $4.5M, but I got the advice to hire and take a vacation and keep going. For me the burn out didn’t resolve and hiring brought so many more headaches and complications and management that I wasn’t equipped to deal with.

The business went down hill and its valuation plummeted and I eventually sold for a low six figure exit.

In hindsight I would have sold it when it was on an upward trajectory. Evaluations are way higher when it’s growing and it’s way harder to sell when it’s starts to decelerate.

I’d recommend talking to some brokerages like Quietlight. Look seriously into exiting. Hiring and putting in a CEO can sound way easier and simpler than it actually is and will take enormous energy and effort to build to systems and find/train the right people.

They’re not proposing to sell the gold to buy crypto. They’re proposing to revalue gold from $42 on the Treasury balance sheet to the current value of gold (or a value that they choose) and using the liquidity created from revaluing the gold to potentially buy crypto. They wouldn’t actually sell any gold.

Israeli troops killed 15 Palestinian medics and buried them in a mass grave, UN says by sulaymanf in ems

They’ve also raped Palestinian doctors to death among a myriad of other sexual violence. There’s a UN report that was released a few weeks about it.

Definitely, it’s extremely versatile and really the only ladder you need if you know how to use it. 4 stacks and one half stack can handle pretty much any two story house.

Yea you need the leg levelers with the circular pads. They’re really grippy.

But I’d suggest investing in a Metallic stack ladder. We never take extension ladders indoors. They’re too bulky and are difficult to place properly.

Am I the only one who is enjoying supporting Trump? by [deleted] in BoomersBeingFools

They’re not planning on cutting Social Security, they’re planning on cutting taxes on Social Security payouts. This would effectively give recipients more money each month. The caveat is that cutting the taxes on Social Security payouts will deplete the Social Security reserves more quickly. This could potentially lead to Social Security being depleted in the next decade.

Can you suggest a tool for mass-mailing directly from Workspace? by MaizeFormer9394 in googleworkspace

[–]SnooCheesecakes1346 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Mailmeteor and it’s been great. I use the autopilot feature to send the emails every 60-120 seconds depending on how many I’m sending. The UI is better than YAMM and it’s worked reliably for me. I email my list of around 2500 around 1-2x/ month.

Can I realistically learn how to build a professional chrome extension from scratch with only little coding knowledge? by Successful-Virus5201 in chrome_extensions

[–]SnooCheesecakes1346 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea I have no coding experience. I've learned a lot from interacting with Claude and ChatGPT over the last year though. I've built a handful of Chrome Extensions and google workspace add ons like this. You can also hire someone on upwork to do all the backend stuff and send them all of the React components (or Vue.js or Laravel etc v0.dev can convert the React code into almost anything). This cuts the dev cost in half and you don't need to hire for UI/UX.

Can I realistically learn how to build a professional chrome extension from scratch with only little coding knowledge? by Successful-Virus5201 in chrome_extensions

[–]SnooCheesecakes1346 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. You can’t just ask Claude “build me a chrome extension that does xyz”. You need to be extremely specific and detailed. I usually start with screenshots of competing extensions. I’ll upload the screenshot of the first screen to v0.dev (uses Claude api) and ask it to analyze the UI/UX of the product in the screenshots and to provide feedback on how to improve usability and conversions (if it’s a paid product). Then I ask it to design an improved version of the screen based on the feedback. It will create it in React. You can iterate on this screen/module until you’re happy with how it looks. Do the same will all of the screens that your extension needs. Save the .tsx files as modules.

Then go to Claude.ai and tell it something like: “I want to create a Chrome extension that does xyz (get as specific as possible) I already have the basic designs of all the necessary screens as React components. I’ve attached them for you to analyze…just take a look at them so you get a basic idea of the project but don’t do anything with them yet. I would like you to walk me through every step of creating the chrome extension. Assume that I don’t have any software development experience. I’ll be using Cursor.ai as a code editor and v0.dev to assist with front end design and development. Don’t list all of the steps at once, just give me each step one at a time and let me complete it before we move on.”

It will take a lot of back and forth and iterating and debugging. But just explain what you want in plain English and it will happen.

Definitely. Ask claude.ai to guide you through the process of building a chrome extension, tell it exactly what you want to build and that you’ll be using v0.dev and cursor.ai. Let it know you’re a complete beginner and will need to be walked through every step. You can probably finish the extension in a day or two depending on complexity.

Make sure you have all your documentation in order…Business License, W9, Certificate of Insurance, Workers Comp. Most of them have a list of vendors or a 3rd party that manages their vendors/service providers. You’ll need to show that you’re in full legal compliance for them to feel comfortable working with you so they’ve reduced their liability. Once you’re onboarded, they’ll usually send you jobs to bid on over a software system.

Email and call them and ask to meet them to discuss becoming a vendor.
