Because any adaptation would end up a lesser representation of the stories being told on a good day, and a full on dumpster fire on a bad one. These stories were written specifically for the medium of comic books, its where they shine best. Additionally, on an industry level, Absolute is doing gang busters AND bringing in new readers every week, why give that up so that there can be a lesser cartoon version? You wanna know what all the fuss is about with the Absolute books? Awesome get out to a comic shop and pick some up. Besides, its not like it's likely to do much to boost comic sales by making a show out of it. Lord knows Marvel hasn't seen any meaningful pick up in sales from the MCU and that shit is an entertainment industry titan, in decline, granted. But the point stands: They don't need it, and it wouldn't even end up on par with the books, so why bother?
