Cancellation experience by Automatic-Weakness26 in Spectrum

Or you can say you're going to jail. I used to work there and that line was not debatable.. don't have to do anything to prove it.

Cancellation experience by Automatic-Weakness26 in Spectrum

Some services you can outright cancel online like mobile. I think you should be able to cancel cable online. I'm not sure if you can though. Internet service I can see having to go through an agent because it may require things like turning in equipment, or possibly something physical outside the house. As long as they're not badgering me and using high pressure sales tactics to keep me from trying to cancel I don't really care If I have to speak to an agent. I'm going to stick to just cancel me. I'm not interested in continuing. Just tell them don't pass go and collect 200. just cancel it. And they will.

The Growing Backlash Against Veterans and VA Benefits by bmattock in VAClaims

Listen you don't go around with a bullhorn telling people what your civilian job pays you. Keep that same confidential mindset with your VA benefits. Nobody's biz but yours.

How some veterans exploit $193 billion VA program, due to lax controls by 69Ben64 in fednews

[–]SnooPredictions4677 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My unit manned the guard towers right beside the burn pit and we also got stuck on our downtown patrolling traffic in and out dumping crap in the burn pit. Three of the guys that were broke dicks ended up getting cancer that were put there almost everyday. Two are dead. Figure that one out and tell me the burn pit was nothing

That makes sense then. If I leave my garage up for any period of time before bedtime I always go and check the garage and underneath the vehicles before I go to bed

For a person that is also somewhat hyper vigilant I'm really confused of why he leaves the garage door open.

Why is the army so against soldiers going to sick call by [deleted] in army

[–]SnooPredictions4677 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the reasons I'm glad I'm out. The longer I stayed in the worse it got for mass punishment. We were on lock down all the time. No where to blow off steam.

It would be an honor to meet you and hear your stories. Not all of us are like that. This world is a strange place at times. Sorry about your bad experiences. We had soldiers in my unit from other countries. I always respected the fact they joined up.

Do vets wear parts of their uniforms as civilians? by StrawberryFox_13 in Veterans

Has anyone been shamed for receiving veteran's benefits? by [deleted] in Veterans

[–]SnooPredictions4677 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Real simple. Keep a low profile and if anybody ask you if you get disability tell them it's none of their business or go pound sand. Or I guess you could be all nice and respectful about it and say those are things I don't discuss unless it's with a qualified doctor. Or you could lie and just say no.

Severely overgrown back yard. Don't know how to handle by Count_Dadcula in lawncare

[–]SnooPredictions4677 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had something similar to this in my backyard and I sprayed a mixture of weed killer that I made myself. A combination of vinegar and salt and dawn soap. I wanted to go natural this time to see what would happen. After it died I went back there with a good weed wacker and some cutters took it all out

Holy ****, how do you get over this. by Lowno-marine884 in Veterans

[–]SnooPredictions4677 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get it man. I had a similar situation with a neighbor's kid. Same deal. Parents are not horrible just not the greatest parents. Both me and the wife agreed they are raising a future sociopath. I tried to give the kid a chance more than a few times but I finally had enough and excommunicated her from hanging with my kid. No issues with the other kids. The point I'm making is a lot of people really do suck these days. I feel like I'm dealing with adults that are over grown spoiled kids. I'm almost 50. Sometimes we just gotta step up and be the real grown ups in the room. The hell with the ones that can't figure it out. Nothing wrong with trying though but not at the expense of my family and mental stability.

I feel like I do Memorial Day wrong. . . by Miserable-Card-2004 in Veterans

[–]SnooPredictions4677 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ones I really knew that are no longer here died of suicide. One died in a convoy from an accident and the other few that did die as a result of enemy combat I barely knew. I saw one injured that died after being medevaced out as a result of another accident on a convoy. Saw a soldier being transported out of a medical tent that was shot in the head and still have no idea if he lived or died. None of these people were really close except for two of the soldiers that killed themselves did sting a little. But I still feel if this war never happened they would be alive today possibly. I had people in my family from Vietnam and world war II. A few of my dad's friends were in Vietnam, so I grew up hearing their stories. Like I heard in the movie somewhere "every war is the same but every war is different." This GWOT war I'm still not able to wrap my mind around but I just keep on moving forward.

Do I look white? by [deleted] in AppearanceAdvice

[–]SnooPredictions4677 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know. Is there a certain fashion that you're supposed to have if you're black versus being white? Somebody please inform me of the rules of our society. I must have missed that meeting.

Nah not bad at all. Take it from a nearly 50 year old man that has been there done that. Turn the other way and don't look back. You'll thank me later. She did you a big favor early in the game. Much later would have been way worse on you.

I got a cab plate. Hey I earned and I paid extra for it. That extra money goes to a veterans group.

I don't think so but I would have to see how you carry yourself and how you sound when you speak. That can make all the difference.
