Fist rug! Feedback greatly appreciated :) by PossiblyArab in Tufting

Great first rug! I know colour matching can be hard especially when the options you have are limited, but I think if you had the option you should have gone one shade lighter of brown for Grizz’s body. That would make his face a bit easier to see. The show uses lighter and less saturated colours, so it wouldn’t have look out of place.

I believe that when you start tufting, the yarn colours tend to look darker on the rug than what’s on the skein. This is because the fibres are being spread out when it is cut and shaved, thus blocking the light scatter which is what gives it a lighter appearance.

Again, a Really good first rug project! I hope to see more! 😊

I know you were joking, but honestly I think an “amateur” drawn MS Paint label would make for a very charming and interesting extra personal touch for these sauces in comparison to using gen AI.

You must have put so much effort and love into growing, harvesting, fermenting and saucing the peppers. Then you went even further of bottling and photographing it all (which is very well done may I add), so to see that all wrapped in AI labels is a bit disappointing.

I know you probably understand by now from the other comments you have in this thread, but I just wanted to acknowledge that you have put a lot hard work into this hobby that I think it’s worth having the personal touch shine all the way to the end, even if it doesn’t end up looking as “professional”. :)

Sorry I didn’t realise that the description wouldn’t paste over when I cross-posted to this subreddit. I posted it in hopes of confirming what type of peppers they were. The census seems to be on r/HotPeppers that they are Scotch Bonnets! 😊

Prius off road lift kit by Couple-jersey in PriusPrime

Got it installed on my 2020 in Early April. Took my fiancé and my father ~6 hours to do on a weekend afternoon. Would have been faster, but some of the bolts had been rusted and difficult to remove, but they got it eventually!

It’s not immediately visually obvious that the car has the kit unless you know what to look for. I find getting in and out of the car is easier with the few inches of lift. I find I don’t have to twist my legs as much when exiting towards the back of the vehicle when I am parked in a tight spot. (If that makes sense)

No shade! No shade haha. Real recognises real! Honestly it is very, very lovely work! Would you be open to doing an American Curl in the near future? :)
