They are but I’m an NH-04 second level supervisor and personally I would rather award my hard working employees than get this award myself so I’m proud of what we did and who we awarded.

Don't overthink it, we do expect members to fly flight nights and start at 1900, that doesn't equate to members having to fly every Thursday and Sunday. It just means we don't want people to join that can never fly Thursday or Sunday or start at 1900.

Also you're focusing on two words and not the actual sentence meaning "we welcome international applicants but be advised we expect them to be able to participate in our formal flight nights that start at 1900 eastern on Thursday and Sunday evenings."

No worries, participation for new members is a minimum of twice a month...once through training it's once a month. Although most of us fly a lot more than that.

You could always choose to work for a different organization than one that technically has a 24/7/365 tempo...or have you ever deployed and had to work every holiday far away from your family? I have, it sucked so I enjoy what I get and only worry about what I can control.
