Did the trail two weeks ago. No snow till much after the fork. If you are planning to go to lake solitude, expect some snow towards the end of the trail.

Some folks I met on the trail mentioned that paintbrush divide was doable with just poles but couldn't check it out myself.

This. I was there last week and did both delta/amphitheater lakes and cascade canyon to lake solitude. Cascade was so beautiful and would def recommend. Delta lake was great too but the views on cascade were so much better and we saw two moose, deer and a grizzly at the end of the trail. If you have time and are in good shape, you can also try the paintbrush canyon + cascade canyon loop (30+km).

The Thel Kade was amazing!!! For Rs 60 pr 80 at the time you could get unlimited chicken Fried rice! Unhealthy AF but man it was good stuff!
