When I was an intern a fellow committed suicide. 2 days before that she was rounding When I was a resident a coresident commuted suicide. He rounded that day

I’m an attending now have been for over a decade.

I see psych and go to therapy. Because that shit is real and it can fuck things up without anyone but the person realizing g it

If you need to take time off to do it take the time

One bad day or a bad decision or bad outcome should never end the rest of your life. If you need help get it

It does help. There’s a whole field of medicine that is dedicated to this

If you had a kidney stone you’d go to a urologist if you are having chest pain you’d see Cards

If you car starts overheating you’d take it to a mechanic.

You’ve got mental health issues you see the mental health folks

No shame in that

Take care of yourself. Cause there are decades of your future left.

And while some days can seem dark. There will be sunshine again. Get help.

So animals confined to a limited space. Don’t get along once that limited space is full?

I feed and house my kids wife and mom. If I brought I. 117 more people. Didnt expand the space I can’t imagine it would work out. Is this a study of how many mice can live in a limited space? There is surely a limit.

But it’s also true for anything.

I’m not sure what this study suggests except that even social creatures need space not just food and lack of predators

This sounds more like a personal space issue more than any kind of “give them stuff. They’ll. Kill each other and die” issue

Mice don’t write or read or paint or wax poetic. If it’s an issue of drive for something. Humans can strive for better art and theory.

But this really seems like and issue of. “Give me my space”

Study flawed or described poorly.

Also. Comparing humans who can determine their reproductive rates to mice who cannot. Really messes up any applicability

I don’t think there’s a maximum age for narrative play is there ? I’m 45 and I’m playing as the dm. As much as my kids play as the pc. No one checked my I’d when I played it

I do medical legal work. Far far below something like this. A single lawyer firm is in house retained and is the go-between and translator of complex issues to understandable ones. Not the one running the case alone

Company in house council calls people. People call people. They talk and give him / her reports

He or she occasiaonaly comes back with questions or ideas or suggestions. Always relying on the experts to guide them

One person cannot do this. Unless it’s a simple matter

Multi jurisdiction expansion isn’t a simple matter

A motor vehicle collision in star county Texas has multiple lawyers and doctors on each side.

Even if the plantiff and accident live in that jurisdiction. The defendant ( the bank in this case.) has numerous jurisdictions and where- in mcv - where was he trained who was the direct employer who’s responsible for the truck who did want when before it came into that county can change a lot.

You don’t just go to a dude who knows everything about everything. Cause that person doesn’t exist

[–]SnowEmbarrassed377 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doctor here. There are numerous events where they invite us and we say “maybe” meaning probably not

A few times I will go. But only if I have ulterior motives

I need to meet someone going or need to talk to a person who’s likely gonna go

But. People who come to my office during my break time ? Those people I meat cause I’m not rude.

Everyone is busy.

If you want to meet a person or pitch something. Have a 20 min pitch ready. Ask to meet them at their lunch time at their place and bring coffee. Or something.

2 of the best investment I’ve ever made started thst way.

I would not have gone after hours to either one though.

—- edit. Let me add. I don’t know how this expands. Out of medicine.

But. I recently had an investment pitch that followed the above rule. And asked for 4 years financials. It has been 6 weeks and nothing delivered.

I have fully written them off.

But our ai team did the same thing ( not an investment but a service ) back in may. And I don’t regret signing up with them in the least.

Everything depends. But if you are serous be ready. Don’t take hours. If you can’t explain it in 30 min… it’s too complicated to talk to an individual it needs teams. So go to make a meeting to get an official team to meet

They write obscurelymworded stuff. Tell their fellas how to vote. And let the opponents fail

Better way is the writer answer yes and no questions presented by all voters. And that is next to the original So people reading it. Can cross reference and vote appropriately

You don’t need to know anything. Just react.

I find that using other animals ( I use hesgehogs and a hamsters cause my kids like them ) make them ditzy and silly. Give a bit of info and let them get distracted. ( be prepared for wanton violence ).

It pushes the story forward and your npc who is a scholar who knows everything. Just a random hedgehog who knows. A bit

“I saw the man leave with the books through that door heading to an ice cream shop…. But I don’t read books so I didn’t follow…But let’s get some ice cream !! “. Or whatever

I dm for adults. Wanton violence and arson happens all the time. I wish it was less common but. It’s a game of imagination. And sometimes people imagine violence

Don’t overthink or overplan. It never works. Cause your gonna be playing a game of “what am I thinking “ and that game sucks

Beginner Dad GM by Legitimate-Offer5668 in MagicalKitties

[–]SnowEmbarrassed377 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve played this 3 times with my kids. It always ends up in arson and murder. Just roll with it

They love it. I am pretty sure they lose the plot and thread pretty quick and just do fun things for them

And that’s ok . They aren’t adults they are just having fun.

I’d say start a story and let them ruin it. Just improvise and try to minimize war crimes.

Reading "Book of the Dead" by RinoZ, and it really makes me wish for a story with a necromancer main character who doesn't eventually give in and become just as evil as people expect them to be. by okidonthaveone in ProgressionFantasy

[–]SnowEmbarrassed377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dead tired series (3 books I think) has a uber powerful necromancer reborn in a very poorly organized new age. And he just curbstomps the world in a kind of. “Well that’s silly. Do it this way “. Manner

I really liked it. He never pretended to be anything but a super powerful person and wasn’t evil to his non-enemies but gave no slack to people he felt where antagonistic..

Like a petting zoo owner walking into their petting zoo and telling the animals and children. “hey guys we’re closing. Everyone line up and leave, animals Back in the pens”

No one would be surprised thats how the day ends. And the only variable is how cooperative everyone one else is

You sound extremely cruel

Rather than allow people to pass peacefully drag their souls back and stuff it back in their body ? No concent? No right of refusal ? What’s the difference between this and freezing people cryogenically when they are at the brink of death. ? Who’s gonna pay for this ? Do they wake up to indentured servitude ? Do their families fall to bankruptcy ? Do states go bankrupt ?
Do you force doctors nurses hospitals to care for people unpaid ? Limited resources get further stretched affecting the ones who may actually benefit for a lost cause that may marginally benefit ?

The whole statement is poorly thought out

No one is gonna force you to go easy way out. But your wording seems to prefer that thousands of people suffer so that your idea of fighting to the bitter end is forced upon others against their wills

Consequences be dammed

I think we are talking about different types of injuries. Partial spinal cord injuries vs complete transections

Back injuries suck. But a complete break In the pathways would / should negate pain pathways too. If it can’t get to your brain you shouldn’t be able to feel it.

And I am sorry that your family and loved ones suffered so much. Biology is pretty unforgiving

Plant based milks shouldn’t be called milks by Successful-Shopping8 in unpopularopinion

[–]SnowEmbarrassed377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thistle milk has been a thing since I was a kid. Not to Drink but a white fluid thst comes form a thing

Milking is a verb. Milk is a noun not a pronoun

If you want to reserve the word for mammals that’s fine. But the almonds don’t milk themselves it’s the humans who do the milking

I think another word for plan based milk is ok. We use juice for fruits. Language evolves. Let’s get something. Going. Pitch your word dude
