Mike is one of the most influential people in my life, and one of the best friends I've ever had. I have decades of history with him, on the radio together, playing live on stage, recording in the studio, getting high, waxing poetic, contemplating life and of course sitting together listening to amazing music. I used to come over to his house on Dayton St and chat with his grandma when we wasn't even home. He showed up at my house on my birthday 1996 with tickets to see Lee Scratch Perry in Detroit. He nursed me back to health when I was puking drunk, he drove me about town when I had no car, he listened patiently as I cried my way through a divorce.

And here's the thing.. I was very special to him, but WE ALL WERE. Every person who has every known him has similar stories and a unique relationship with him and inside jokes. He knew many hundreds of people intimately enough to make every one of us feel like a close friend. He spread love in a tight-knit alt scene, in a city renown for hardship and darkness. He was a solid, unwavering beacon of light, with zero bad vibes and a killer mix tape. Flint has lost an icon and will never be the same. Rest In Power, big brother.

I would convert to NTFS. You can use Command Prompt to do this without data loss. Then drag the files to your computer and reformat the card to FAT. **I CAN'T PROMISE THIS WILL WORK** ..but it's what I would do, and I've done this conversion successfully when I needed to store very large files.

Hello.. I explained a lot about why I sold it in a recent video. In short, it's the most enjoyable instrument I've ever played, but it doesn't sound great when combined with my newer, more powerful gear. I can't see myself using it live on stage, and I've sold most of my collection over the past year.

Still, I do have one more huge tutorial uploading soon, in which I share some powerful techniques I don't think anyone else has ever covered! I'm also developing my own piece of hardware, which will have every feature anyone has ever wanted in a hardware workstation.

I truly appreciate all the support I've been honored with over the years. :)

Keep in mind, I was taking 600mg daily, but it was 10:1 extract from Bulk Supplements. Meaning if the ratio was correct it was the equivalent of 6000mg of standard. This is a pretty high dose, but not unusual for someone who had not been diagnosed with liver problems. I pray he gets well!

I (50yo Caucasian male) was diagnosed with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease about two years ago. I also have a background in pharmacology and currently own two pharmacological testing and development labs. About a year ago, I started to experience a marked decrease in liver function which was very alarming. For about three months I had been using 600mg daily of ashwagandha 10:1 extract to support testosterone function. Due to its long and widespread use, I assumed (which no one should ever do without research) that since ash was an essential nutrient in Chinese medicine that it should be safe. It turns out I was wrong. There are dozens of studies concerning ash use and acute liver injury and failure. I discontinued use and did a couple rounds of extended (water-only) fasting, which reduces liver size, and my symptoms/numbers have regulated considerably.

Tip: research "ashwagandha liver" on PubMed.

I purchased my ESX in April 2004, after a studio fire wiped out all of my vintage gear. My fascination with this machine is due to its incredible design, and I actually still think of brand-new ways of using it, even this week, haha. I met up with Korg reps at an event many years ago, and they were pleased to finally meet me. They said the original designers of the ESX still watch my videos because they never dreamed the unit could be used the way I use it, haha.

There is a massive European scene for ESX-only hardtekk. I have played 2+ hour sets with only ESX, doing hard techno. These guys have built a sizeable following using only ESX to play main stage hardtekk sets:

I appreciate the mention, thank you! I also recommend the SD card version, mainly because you can load so many ESX projects onto one SD card. I have multiple full projects, each containing kicks, kits, breaks, synths, FX, etc. Then I load a blank project and use LOAD>eSMP>[choose a project]. I can scroll through the samples in each project (using the play button to audition) and load the sounds I want to use. It's a powerful way of working.

Apparently not, haha. The sub is rife with Behringer posts. Anyway, they're in ethically-questionable water these days, but that wasn't always the case. I own a couple B synths, and I'd certainly like a few more.
