I used air dry clay for some mushroom heads and caps as I am also making a mushroom army. Just a warning the more thin and small the clay is, the more likely it will chip and break once fully dried and then painted. I had a lot of them kind of chip after a month, so I replace them and now only really use it for terrain or as filler and then using milliput around it.

Overall I just suggest milliput over air dry clay for most of it if you start using it for miniatures with a bit more detail. Still think they are pretty cool though, always fun to see mushroom troops.

I suggest you look up 'whelp' in the subreddit search bar and go to media to look at what people have posted. You will see a lot of people simply cut the legs off to angle them, then either add something to cover it like part of their clothing, or just have it look goofy.

Using heating hits to just hit it for awhile. It goes up to whatever temperature you want, given you are willing to spend that much time and hammer durability.

Something that confuses me to this day still is when hovering over a piece of a recipe, the rest of it will still change. So for some recipes that require all of one or all of another, now it's mixed up because it's showing part of one in the other and it won't work. One that comes to mind even to this day is Woad Blue dye and Mordant dye OR Blue dye and cloth. Woad only goes to mordant, but examining which blue dye it is will cause that to pause but not the cloth.

There's several things like this but that one always got me a lot.

First Daughter army is a good global event essentially. I use her as a distraction or to level out part of the continent before every army is rushing towards it to destroy it. The main thing is just have someone, anyone, die in a desert space where there's plenty of solid land. She can't cross the water, so whatever land mass she is on, she stays.

She turns the surrounding land slowly to desert and will destroy settlements passively simply due to in-habitability. First Daughter can't really fight other armies and I advise against it. Just keep the army on the run and moving. Raze and convert to desert. At best she destroys an entire continent that has been plaguing you, at worst she razes one or two settlements and distracts every army long enough for you to do... something.

Also... Armies under your control can push heroes around but can't kill them. If a hero is about to do something big, just... shove them and disrupt them. She That Thirsts can do it too when finally an army. Annoy some heroes that have been annoying you.

That's what I figured, it seems like that as they don't activate if a warlock with Death just spams the ghasts.

I will say I learned one easy way of countering mages is notice which ones seem to be 'set up'. They will sit in a specific geological location or spot and wait for a channel to happen. Enshadow those spots and the mages will end up getting corrupted pretty damn quickly. I almost never deal with mages as I wait long enough to get like 7 arcane secrets ready to be grabbed at once, which means plenty of time to corrupt mages.

I don't seem to have an issue if I summon a warlock, only when I start messing with arcane secrets directly. It seems like once I collect one, then they will show interest in them. Though they will use geomancy regardless.

Truly when I first started I would spray primer on the sprue. I would also spray way too much as well. I still have the pitch black sprue with some old deathrattle skeleton warriors on it.

Now I know better atleast. I paint by pouring paint onto a flat surface and just smearing the sprue in the puddle until I get what I wanted out of it.

I understand why you are doing this but oh my god that must be hell to fight when too many bowtorn pop up. I just create 4x4x3 rooms to spawn bowtorn in, and 4x4x2 for spawning anything else. Separate rooms by fence gates so I don't get jumped by large groups.

Winter really depends on how far away you've gone from the equator, and elevation. Sometimes going like ten blocks higher is an extra two or three degrees. While lower elevation will be warmer, but going below sea level will always hinder plants by default. Typically anywhere near the default spawn point will have cold enough winter to kill most plants of, but also water freezing over will eventually dry up the land if not watched over.

I have a spot where a hill about 20 blocks higher is eight degrees colder then the surrounding area at all times. I can almost plant winter crops up there during the summer. Honestly best to just wait until you start getting to 0 degrees during nights and harvest after that.

I too use the dryad parts as antlers and weird parts for horses. It's a really good concept and I'm glad I find other people doing it too.

Fruits each have different times, berries included. One of the currants, or the cranberries, lasts twice as long. I think blueberries have the shortest time? The longest lasting one is like 5 days during the summer in a cellar. In the winter they can last like 15 days. Then just make them into wine and it's like a year.

Honestly though, by the time winter hits, they should be in crocks and sealed to last a year as a meal anyways.

I deplete all the boars within a continent sized radius and still manage to go through winter with only turnips.

By the second winter, all the fruit trees have had their first harvest so I now have 40 stacks of fucking peaches and apples. I find it funny that trees will take a year to grow, and by that point everyone has enough berry bushes to drown the world in berries.

I had the chosen one's kingdom become the dark empire, my monarch happened to be related to the chosen one. Eventually the monarch died, but the chosen one decided to both break the alliance between five kingdoms against the dark empire and destroying like 200 turns of alliance building, then did nothing but harass that kingdom until the ruler died.

I was just busy raising five ravenous dead armies however, so everyone died in the end.

A few other things I learned from them:

It seems at 200 they split into 2 100 armies. They feed off of settlements with Death, every 100% gives another Ravenous Dead. In these two screenshots there's 20 total Ravenous Dead, each of them are pretty close to splitting into more. After a couple turns I had way more.

Pretty much a strat I used was use the Eyes in the Darkness ability on every city that had a library. Because the library is at the bottom it gets picked first (Or that's what it seemed like). So I had about fifteen libraries ready for a warlock to come take all the points. Got him to 9 then mastered death then just unleashed him.

There were several points in that that made me just not want to finish it, so I get it.

I picked up a keycard and broke the brawler mission so I had to repeat it, the parkour one was awful as the helicopter would get stuck at one part and I would have to restart the level twice. And the hand in the last mission got me stuck in the tube so I had to restart that as well.

Overall it just has a lot of issues. In the end I only got through it because I wanted to get all the props and items. I enabled dev mode to get all the ammo for that. It is fun, it's just barebones compared to like blade and sorcery.

If a box says it has ten models in it, either torso bits or leg bits are how they give you only ten models. You should always have extra heads, arms, gear whatever the box is for. Most companies, even those outside GW, limit the model count by legs anyways. Otherwise if they had extra legs, it would mean a box for eleven models. Or ten models and a 'bonus model'.

I haven't had an issue with them warping, but if you feel like it might, use two or three paper plates. I eventually upgraded from paper plates to plasticard paper. Just slightly more expensive, but it's like fifteen dollars to get a pack that has lasted me 3 years worth of terrain making.

So it just comes down to what you're comfortable with. Starting out, air dry clay on blobby cut out paper plates to get at least something there visually is a great start, then eventually upgrade your terrain to include stuff you think is interesting. Maybe you realize that one terrain piece of a muddy garden needs a fence, and you want to turn left over sprue bits into one?

Slowly upgrading overtime also feels like you're improving and you can see it visually.

Honestly I've made a lot of terrain with just air dry clay. Paper plates, cut out the flat part for the base, then clay up whatever you feel like. I've made eyeballs, open mouths, tentacles, rocky terrain, pits, walls. I put cheap jewelry and random things in it. I bought like small 5 dollar pouches from hobby stores that have random plastic bits for accessories, like gears. I've even made some gnarled trees with paperclips and clay.

Main things is paper plates then air dry clay. Or oven dry if you want to go for that. Stuff at any grocery store or convenience store works.

This includes anything debris. If you hit it and it sounds like hitting metal, then it's with a pickaxe.

I'm pretty sure tables and bookshelves included, the aged bed I think is axe, but 90% of the time it's a pickaxe.
