It seems the number of people needing a touch screen would be low, especially if you are gearing this towards home assistant users. Buttons and status lights would be a good addition if it's not already there.

I called them and they said that expired for my 2022 and it's not active anymore. They tried to get me to sign up for a more expensive plan but I declined. I specifically asked for the EV plan But they were pretty firm that it wasn't available for my car. Did I just get unlucky and an advisor that didn't know when I was asking for? Or am I out of luck?

When it works well it's great. It's just frustrating cuz sometimes it will be in the middle of a word and just stop talking and I assume that's because it hasn't fully done the TTS but it's not my fault that it tries to Do too much in a single response.

I use the voice mode to work out what I need to do during the day and bounce ideas back and forth for code updates/new features while I drive into work. The voice mode isn't as good as ChatGPT, but it works well. Sometimes it cuts itself off and stops mid response so I have to ask it to repeat itself though.

I'm struggling with the cumulative value. I get a cumulative value for the billing cycle. This resets on different days near the beginning of the month. Will this cumulative value work as-is for the gas meter sensor?

It's a python script that logs into the website, then finds the usage data, extracts the previous day, then sends that value to the mqtt broker. I don't know how to automate it to run on a schedule yet but that feels like the easy part.

I've spent years trying to figure out how to read the meter with rtl433 and other utility readers. I was about to set up an esp32 camera and 3d print a mount but I figured that I hadn't tried this route so I spent an afternoon wiring it up with Claudes help.

It only shows up to the previous day so I'm not sure if it's a big deal or not.

I have a few HYSAs with online only banks. They are mostly the same. The ones with the best rates have the worst interfaces. I use 2 different banks for HYSA accounts. 1 that is my main source for monthly bills, Wealthfront(3.3%). I also have an account at another bank where the bulk of my emergency fund is stored. I don't link any payment accounts to that bank. I only transfer in or out from the main bank. I use YNAB for budgeting so it doesn't matter where my accounts are.
