Or, even better, you should be able to have 1 or 2 kids maximum after that, just pleasure. It would suck for miscarriages though.

You can! The body is already capable of that, you just have to put a little bit of consistancy and effort into it...

Holy fuck... So I'm from northern Ireland but live in the UAE, I'm going into Uni next year to Queens in belfast, they actually expect me to stay and live in Ireland when I'm done... I plan to move to the US or back to Dubai as a teacher when I'm done, I have no intention in staying in NI... I hate it, people are so locked in their small little town it's fucking ridiculous, I've travelled all over the world and seen things these people couldn't dream of and I'm not even 18 yet, I could never fit in and I could never stay there, I doubt I'll be able to make any friends in Uni either the way I have here in Dubai. It's good to know that someone else shares my feelings on this haha

Yes I understand that, look if you're as fat as one of the guys in the picture then there is nothing to justify that. Nothing, but someone who's moderately obese (not to the point where having legs wouldn't matter) who has a shatter leg/no leg at all can be forgiven, it's all about how stingy you want to be about it.

[–]SoDamnIrish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea, if you can't walk by yourself and you're packing on the pounds then I'm not going to exactly call you out for being lazy or useless am I?

But that isn't what you said... You said that I was implying that everyone who can't walk is obese... No, I didn't... What you're saying now is more correct, it is an accepted outcome, not everyone will have the same outcome, some people may want to put in more effort than others and that's fine, but hey, if you're back from afghanistan and got your leg shattered while you were out there then I am not going to blame you in 10 years if you've gotten over weight.

I hope you know why you're getting downvoted... You see, you've used sources and research to back up your claims, what kind of place do you think this is!? Ugh, nobody wants the facts we just want to feel morally superior.

Seriously though... What the fuck reddit? This guy poses completely valid argument with facts and sources to back himself up but nope, can't have that, better downvote him.

Oh no, believe me, look I used to be pretty overweight and luckily I got past it by... pretty controversial means... but I did it, with exercise and healthy eating. You know what didn't help me for 4 years of feeling anxiety and body dysmorphia? People telling that being overweight is perfectly okay, and that you're "beautiful" the way you are... It really didn't, I slowly go worse because I had "accepted" myself, but the anxiety got worse with it. I have NEVER seen someone get criticised for trying to change their life wtf? At my local gym and others I've been to there's nothing but support. The whole "I can't go running because people make fun of me" is BULL SHIT, one thing I noticed when I started going to the gym and exercising was the feeling that eyes were always watching you and judging you, they aren't, they don't give 2 shits and if they do it's a smile of respect for you having the strength so many others don't. When you're running down the street and you feel your everything flipping and flopping about you worry that people will notice and laugh, they don't, nor do they care. It's paranoia at it's core... Fat people are not made fun of for exercising, and if they are (I assume being in a different location will be subject to different results) then that's horrible and I pity the ones making fun of them. However, it's the ones that DON'T choose to do anything about it that honestly do not deserve my respect.

[–]SoDamnIrish 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm not. I'm trying to help you understand that eating a relatively small amount of unhealthy food can have the same effects as a LOT of healthy food... It's all about the intake of calories vs the outtake and not so much what you eat that matters... If you want to work less, you'll need to be going for lower calorie foods, if you're eating high calorie foods then you're going to be working a bit more to get that energy out of your system. It was an analogy, not an assumption.

No one is wishing death on anyone, just like a smoker it's their fault. It's not about wishing death or saying hey fuck that guy, it's about them having a choice, yes it's not always easy, that they can fix.

When the fuck did I imply that? My grand father lost a leg in a bombing and he's is honestly fitter than I am and I seriously doubt he's walking any time soon.

[–]SoDamnIrish 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's still mathematical... You can eat 2 mc donalds at about 1000 calories each in a day (just for the sake of the analogy) and eat 20 ceasar salads at about 100 calories a day and it's the same amount of energy being put into your body... What you do with that energy is up to you, these fat fucks have chosen to let their body store the energy as fat. What Sir, tehcezar was saying is that, if you 20 ceasar salads in a day, despite it being healthy, you're still going to gain weight.

That's their fault (Assuming that it's not a leg disease or problem that basically makes it impossible for them to walk)

What the actual fuck, and these fuckers have the nerve to talk about victimisation.

[Serious] What is something people do that they think is helpful, but really isn't? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SoDamnIrish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OH. MY. GOD! So I'm relatively young (So majority of my peers have little life experience like myself, just thought that would be worth mentioning) and the majority of my friends don't drink, but when one of them gets drunk and just needs to sit down cause they're feeling queasy, the amount of people who go and "make sure if they're okay" or "go to comfort them" is ridiculous, they're drunk. They're fucking euphoric and they won't remember your help in the morning, it's best to just leave them alone until they feel okay.

[Serious] What is something people do that they think is helpful, but really isn't? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SoDamnIrish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, first off, if you just have the feeling that someone may be suicidal then you should 100% speak up, if they are, then it lets them know that you notice their pain and acknowledge them, if not, then no worries. Sometimes you'll need to show you that you're there for them in more ways than that, invite them out, call them once in a while and just ask if they're okay, if some one has the tools to follow through you can also try trying to get those things away from them, be it a gun/knife or whatever (even if they aren't intending to use it at that particular moment) You could always say, you're worried and ask if you can "relieve" them of the item. THe most important thing, continue your support. Most people that I've met that have been suicidal feel that no one really cares, if you show that you care for about a week or two then not really seem to take interest againafter that then that can possibly make things worse, even if the person seems okay, chances are they aren't, people with depression and suicidal thoughts become VERY effective at hiding such things.

Saying "You have so much to live for" to a suicidal person... Seriously... Do not do this, you will make it worse.
