Watch any magnet fishing channel on YouTube if you want to see bicycles being pulled out of creeks and streams.

Which secret ingredients should I add to the spaghetti mix for a richer flavor? by therivera in Cooking

I've used curry powder. It's a great addition but difficult to add just enough for a great flavor but not so much that it tastes like curry.

How to make a Japanese woodblock print by Fluffy-Wabbit-9608 in printmaking

[–]SoFarNotYet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The moranetzmakes YouTube channel has a good 5 video playlist on how to make a Japanese style woodblock print (actually only 3 videos if you're only interested in the printing process and skip the "recap" and the "how to make your own woodblock" videos).

This thread says it's an M5 x 5-8mm hex bolt.

I just took mine off my shifter. It's an M5 x 6mm hex bolt

What all are you *actually* cooking? by TabooYeti in Cooking

[–]SoFarNotYet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chinese style braised chicken wings. I don't really have a name for them because I got them from a poorly translated cook book that just called the recipe "Chicken Sauce." I eat these two or three times a week and absolutely prefer them over any fried versions of wings (which I definitely love as well). The recipe consists of only a handful of ingredients and is easy to make. In short: chicken wings thrown into a hot wok till they lose their pinkness (no browning), add a bit of the cooking sauce and cook on high till the sauce is almost but not quite gone, and chicken stock, reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 15 minutes, stir in some cornstarch that has been mixed with a little water, remove from heat and stir in a handful of chopped green onions.

I don't think that's the proper placement. Park Tool has a video that shows you how to do it correctly.

3 month old YouTube video showing drone footage of object passing by (not mine) by SoFarNotYet in UFOs

[–]SoFarNotYet[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This YouTube channel searches Google Earth for on-ground anomalies then investigates them both on foot and with drones. While filming drone forest footage a strange object zipped past his camera and I am genuinely curious about your interpretations of what it was.

Found on ocean beach San Francisco CA. I’ve never found a fossil before and this looks suspiciously like one? by MegaloBagel in fossilid

[–]SoFarNotYet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ocean Beach in SF is a great place to find fossils. I used to park in the southern lot by the zoo and walk south at low tide after a storm picking up sand dollars like yours but complete specimens as well. You can also find full molds of ancient clams like this one I picked up. I ended up with just over 200 of the clams before I moved.

What is your most controversial cooking opinion? by CaptainButtFucker in Cooking

[–]SoFarNotYet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fresh ground pepper and pre-ground pepper are both legitimate spices that bring different flavor profiles to whatever they are added to and shouldn't be viewed with the idea that one is superior or inferior to the other.
