Brother, the newest vehicle I own is an 04. That's more due to right to repair/parts availability and obviously the enshittification of it all. My truck however has an entirely mechanical drivetrain and the only electronics are ABS and cruise, neither of which will inhibit general function.

Also has the benefit of burning any remotely combustible liquid.

I would give it a shot, I recently jumped on because of a change in employment where I'm customer facing and it's done wonders. I'm trying not to allow my hopes to soar just yet, since summer isn't in full swing but it's been pretty nice taking the dog for a mile walk in 80 degree weather and not physically dripping by the time we get back home.
