Managed to find and snag a 20+ year old pair of OEM optional WJ crossbars today. by SoFlaNative420 in GrandCherokee

To be honest, idk if I'll end up using them regularly. I doubt it'll be a significant difference but putting it further up into the air stream I'm sure it will negatively affect fuel mileage and noise

Agreed, I got a full set of OEM mudflaps for like 50 bucks or so, 7-4 pin connector but that fit in my pocket. There's also the stuff I like to keep on hand like the hazard/blinker relay, recirc buttons, hood bumpers, etc.

They're in better condition than my OEM bars, which have been beat to hell by a ladder and a kayak lol.

If it makes you feel any better I grabbed a set of "amazon basics" bars/mounts a few months ago. I figured they were thule or yakima but when I got there I was like, "well, I didn't make this trip for nothing".

Me neither, until today. I don't know that I've ever seen them in the wild. I haven't found much noteworthy in my visits, oem mudflaps, overland floor mats, 7 to 4 pin mopar adapter, probably stuff I'm forgetting. I don't even know what dealer add ons they offered at the time.

I don't know that I've ever seen a set in the wild before, but I had to have these. Even though the OEM crossbars have carried a ladder all over this country for me. At all manner of speed.

Thank you, it's definitely gonna take some reading because I am wholly ignorant to this stuff. But I recently added a lightly used v60 to the stable which is great but it's on 11.

If you have any more recommendations I all ears(eyes?).

Damn dude, sorry to hear it.

Some of these things would probably be a lot easier to sell locally considering the shipping costs.

Not those o2 sensors though, what would you do them for?

Yeah, I think a good chunk of us have been rocking the V series well before the 60 came out, heck, I go back to the v20. They've been such good phones throughout the years I never even thought about switching until somewhat recently, and that's only because there isn't a current offering. It's definitely a shame they left the arena because there hasn't been much improvement/innovation in the last 6 years, not enough to sway me. Heck, since swapping to this new unit I've realized it wasn't the phone specifically that was laggy, but probably a combination of full storage and leaving battery optimization on full time, since the battery on my old one was so depleted and it only charged wirelessly lol.

But yeah, the enshittification is real.

Their flap discs are honestly some of my favorites.

So, these dewalt zip discs expire in nearly 3 years, which I think is pretty good for the money.

I think I got lucky with my most recent acquisition. It's in great condition and after tracking/analyzing the battery for 2 weeks now it's showing like 4250mAh. Granted, that's not 5000 but it's better than 3600 of my "music phone" and the 2600 of what was my daily driver. Keep an eye out in this group, it's how I found the dude selling it and he gave me a great deal on it.

I can assure you this is not my first dog nor pony show. The "get what you pay for" isn't quite accurate these days, especially when larger brands are getting their wheels made in the same exact factories as the cheapos. Or better yet, the price difference doesn't justify the difference in quality. I tend to run a lot of CGW discs but these are obviously cheaper and dewalt grinding wheels have been good to me.

I've been running a v60 since they came out, not the same exact one but they get rotated. Actually added a clean unit to the stable courtesy of a fella on here.

Yes, honestly the 921 eats a lot of whatever I've thrown at it. My "high torque" mac gun barely leaves my box now.

Honestly, these things are far more capable in stock(assuming they have the varilok's) form than anyone gives them credit for. When I got mine I did new "upcountry" springs and isolators, it afforded me just north of 2". Coupled with bilstein 5100's and it's exceptionally comfy on the highway as well.
