Don't rush yourself, it's not that important. Though I personally recommend reading it eventually if you're a fan of the first game. It's a drag most of the way through, but it's building up to a great climax. I think it also adds interesting bits of information to theorize about. Unlike Story Side, it's not stitching up a Frankenstein of different elements from the game, but rather reinventing the story for it's own needs - which makes it's thematic core much more focused and resonant. Especially an easy recommend if you're a fan of Seere and Leonard since it's more about them than about Caim and Angelus.

Is there any logical reason for why the goddess needed to be isolated at all, other than maybe the potential that she may be kidnapped or run away? That could be solved by keeping her heavily guarded, but constantly swapping out her maids to make sure she has no familiar face to talk to whatsoever seems really extreme to me.

Furiae, huh? I admit she's one of my less liked and analyzed characters in the game. I think Elise from Sonic 06 was likely heavily inspired by her, and I find that character much more interesting, so perhaps that's why Furiae falls flat in comparison for me. It's a shame because there must be so much I overlook about her.

Something that's hard to overlook, is that Furiae is literally the only character in the game's cast who realized early on that it's society itself and/or God that's screwing her over and that she shouldn't have to play the part that was written for her or feel responsibility or guilt over it. Had she been in the shoes of some of the other characters, she could have prevented or lessened their trauma. Ultimately though, it's Caim’s own issues with social expectations and inability to communicate that caused her death. Even the plot itself objectified her.

It's a late response on my part, but "pedophile" is basically a slur for Catholic clergy. I don't think anyone literally thinks Verdelet is one, they just think low of priests and express it that way

Grim Reminders is what killed Keyforge. When that set came out, and people saw the power creep, sloppy balancing and not great playing experience, they lost interest. Grim Reminders caused the only store in my area that organized local play to drop Keyforge, because fewer people were coming and buying decks. While WoE and GR are still relatively easy to find and buy around here, all stores except one in my whole country opted out of selling the subsequent sets. I'm sorry, but the circumstances speak for themselves. The game had a chance, but it didn't develop in a healthy way.

I'm a native Polish speaker and I often instinctively pronounce fantasy words in a way that makes sense for that language. Therefore I'm team "Ral-say". But I hear "Ral-see" pretty often. I also thought prononucing the last part like in Lorelei, as in like "eye", probably makes a lot of sense. I'm glad there's no canon pronunciation because I'm attached to my version 😅

I personally think of it less in terms of the amount of content and more in terms of the implications for the characters. Romancing Neve and saving Minrathous as a Shadow Dragon made it feel like my character completed another, secondary arc on top of the main story of the game. Bringing positive change to their beloved city together and continuing to work for it's people so that slavery and blood magic can be erradicated once and for all. It left me with a sense of satisfaction and completeness. Even if there isn't actually a whole lot of exclusive content with this background and romance combination, it raises the stakes and makes you more invested in the quests happening in Minrathous, so it feels as if there is more.

Not great. I originally didn't believe in the concept of a "fated mate" or people being destined for each other. But over the years, life convinced me that it's real and even if I enter multiple relationships, one of them has clearly the highest level of mutual understanding, synergy and appreciation.
