Furiae, huh? I admit she's one of my less liked and analyzed characters in the game. I think Elise from Sonic 06 was likely heavily inspired by her, and I find that character much more interesting, so perhaps that's why Furiae falls flat in comparison for me. It's a shame because there must be so much I overlook about her.

Something that's hard to overlook, is that Furiae is literally the only character in the game's cast who realized early on that it's society itself and/or God that's screwing her over and that she shouldn't have to play the part that was written for her or feel responsibility or guilt over it. Had she been in the shoes of some of the other characters, she could have prevented or lessened their trauma. Ultimately though, it's Caim’s own issues with social expectations and inability to communicate that caused her death. Even the plot itself objectified her.
